Every time I turn on the cable news stations anymore, someone is interviewing Sarah Palin. You would think she was the president elect or something! Not even Obama is getting as much air time. I am so sick and tired of hearing about her moose chili and whether or not she is going to run for president in 2012. Who gives a damn? I wish she would disappear already! She came out of nowhere due to a desperate, impulsive decision by John McCain. She doesn't seem to have a clue as to what is going on in the world, so I have no idea what the media infatuation with her is all about. Why aren't they interviewing McCain? He seems to have completely disappeared. I wish Palin would disappear with him.

Does anyone else feel this way, or do you like hearing what she has to say?

What I want to know is what Republicans see in her? I would think that after they learned that she didn't have a clue, they would have retreated. But now still seem to be parading her around as the new face of the GOP. Talk about desperate! Agreed. If we come out of Obama's first term with the economy in the same shape as it was during the Great Depression, we will be better off than we are now. Bush has completely destroyed our economy and our standing in the world. How could Obama possibly do any worse?

It would seem to me that the woman seems to have struck a chord with a fairly large percentage of the country. While she is apparently polarizing in terms of acceptance (there appears to be little middle ground here), like any other newly minted celebrity, there is a great desire to hear from her or about her. I laugh at the Obama supporters complaining about someone getting too much coverage. Where have you been the last 2 years or so on his overexposure. If you lived in the Chicago market, you would still be getting Obama 24/7. He is on the front page everyday and leads with the news. He is still getting national coverage too.

She's probably doing these interviews to prove it wasn't her that kept her off the TV interviews during the campaign.

Who saids she doesn't have a clue what's going on. Had the news media grilled Obama like this in the early days, I be willing to bet you would've came away with the same conclusion. Two reasons. One, she is the face right now. Therefore, they'll give her the spotlight. It may be the only thing the Republicans have going for them. Second, other people have political agendas too. They are hoping for at minimum overexposure and people to tire of her which opens a spot for them. Or they want her out there and hope the old "if you give them enough rope they'll hang themselves" philosophy works which would knock her off the stage permanently and open a spot for them as well.
