And I though your arse was too tight to even let a fart out, let alone a grape in!
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

I pretty much said if you knock on his head (although frappes means "to strike") and go "Is anyone here?" you get silence. Cause you said he probably doesn't know what you're saying, am I correct? For someone who took French lessons and classes for 10 years, I sure suck at it now.

Doesn't James Brown scream and wail a lot in his songs? How did he get on there? There's others more deserving than some of these names on this list.

James could hit some amazing notes. He also had a lot of SOUL and his rhythmic timing and feel were amazing. I think he deserves to be there.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

As much of a Perry guy that I am, the only name that belongs at the top of that list is Elvis. There will NEVER be another musician as significant as Elvis, in ANY generation. Whether you like the guy or not, his impact on the entire music world can never be denied.
Fuck that fat bastard. Perry could sing circles around that dude. Let's hear Elvis sing Mother, Father. Perry, in his prime, could sing anything Elvis ever did. Fuck, he probably still could. And he wouldn't gyrate like a fuckin' giant dildo, either.

Without Elvis paving the way for the explosion of the rock genre, Perry would've never had influences and what we know as Journey wouldn't have been. Perry's talent was greater, but Elvis' impact is unparalleled.

maybe if elvis wrote songs...

Yahoo is loosing credability by the minute, jeezus. Sam Cooke and Elvis are the only two worthy of that list. Now whether it's rock or not is an entirely different question. What a bunch of plonkers ...

The Rolling Stone poll in the next issue has this as the top 10...
1.) Aretha Franklin
2.) Ray Charles
3.) Elvis Presley
4.) Sam Cooke
5.) John Lennon
6.) Marvin Gaye
7.) Bob Dylan
8.) Otis Redding
9.) Stevie Wonder
10.) James Brown

Aretha has NOTHING to do with rock in my world. Maybe rythem and blues would be more suitable and she could get some RESPECT there.

The way they worded this, it kind of gives me the feeling that they are saying she's the best vocalist of the rock era without saying she's the best rock vocalist. It's a title of pacification.

This list is ridiculous! There is a big difference between being one of the greatest influences on modern music and being one of the greatest singers!

Aretha is often noted by other artists as a great singer - even Neal Schon said that listening to singers like Aretha is part of how he creates his singing guitar sound.

At least Roy Orbison made the #13 spot, but he should be in the top five with Steve Perry - yet another reason not to take anything written in Rolling Stone too seriously!

Seems that way. She's been having some hissy fit issue lately over being called the Queen Of Soul along with Tina Turner. Apparently she doesn't think anyone should have that title but her. Goes to show what money and popularity will do to some people.
