Misheard Lyrics
Yep, heard the same racist slants before too. The song's title and the line, "Send the <!> on a one way ride.", was about lynching/hanging. The rest of the song allegedy was about partying at a KKK rally.
Geez. Completely laughable...if it wasn't so disgusting.

I like to think I can go by what my ears tell me and what they hear. Many of those websites are people typing up what they hear. Others are copying what they read out of the inserts of the cd/album/cassette. And even then, I've listened and read along with inserts and they are even wrong at times. So.... I think either the "politically correct" somewhere along the line changed the lyrics a little from the originals, Bon Scott improvised a little from how they were written OR it is what most people hear. Live versions I've heard with even Bon singing, It's DEFINATELY the word "ticket". Either way, I don't think they meant anything by it if indeed the lyrics were sang that way, written that way, or it was a mistake to begin with. Hell.. Bon was known to drink a little and slur when singing.
