Perry could have done the same.

Big difference Pitrelli has heart.

Pitrelli is the guy who is responsible for most, if not all, of those great TSO guitar solos. My favorite player next to Neal.

I agree, he is very good. Poor guy is doing this season so far, in a chair on stage.....after hurting himself landing on his knee wrong at one of the first shows.

Are there dates where JSS is touring with them anywhere? I'm going with some family members to the St. Louis show and want to know if he is on that leg of the tour.

Yes, he's part of the St. Louis show. :)

Well then I finally have a reason to look forward to the show then. I was dreading it. Not really the concert per say, but the 3+ hours with my inlaws. I'll see if I can snap some shots for you Deb :D

That would be cool, thanks! :D You'll probably enjoy it more than ya think, too. And don't worry, there is so much going on on stage to take in, that you won't even notice the inlaws.

Can't wait to see him again! :D

I am so glad he is continuing to tour even with his injury. What a shame that happened.

Mustaine's injury was years ago. He had some kind of nerve problem in his arm and was told he wouldn't recover from it.

I can't remember the whole story but they disbanded Megadeth and he thought his career was over. Then he ended up recovering and putting the band back together again with a pair of brothers (drums & guitar) and bassist James Lomenzo (formerly of White Lion).

Yeah, he left Savatage/TSO for Megadeth in the late 90s. He did, I think, one tour with them before Mustaine was injured and then they disbanded. Pitrelli went back to Savatage/TSO (though I think Savatage is effectively done...they haven't done anything since 2000).

I missed that comment...The first two studio albums are better than the rest. However, their stage show is much better, from what I've seen, than it's ever been.

My boss is going with another coworker to Anaheim. They have been watching these shows for ever it seems, going every year. After seeing the clips of JSS, they said there was a black guy that did the same songs before but was better at it. They'll give me the skinny after the concert if they are impressed or not. They're into Foreigner, Van Halen, Sabbath, Beatles and stuff like that, not really into Journey though.

I know the black guy they are talking about. He had a big gap in his front teeth. I think JSS is better. The other guy's voice was just too gritty.

I found the black dude to be inaudible. I didn't like his performance at all. Granted, there could be quality issues with the recording, but I doubt that was the case.
