I don't think it is much to ask a voter to know their party's leadership and who controls congress. a significant part of this election was based largely on creating class envy - the false ideology that associated a vote for obama as a vote against the prosperous; that a vote for obama was going to magically make bills, mortgages, and taxes disappear.

I'm not rich yet I admire those that had the ingenuity, courage, talent, luck, and smarts to get there. Redistribute wealth?!!! Is this where we are heading?

Too many people in this country are looking for a handout. We are becoming a nation of lazy whiners that have forgotten that hard work and responsible living are the keys to success instead of a government program.

The point of this thread and the video is that there is a significant number of voters in this country that are vastly uneducated and uninformed about their own government. It bothers me that people like this are determining the leadership and course of this country.

Obama didn't run on a platform of "redistributing wealth", he did briefly mention it to Palin's 2012 running mate, Joe the Plumber - who, for all his anti-government bluster, turns out to be a welfare queen.
Also, all progressive tax systems redistribute wealth.
What was perpetuated by Obama were mainline appeals to the middle class - same thing that Bill Clinton rode to victory on.

We are turning socialist for repealing tax breaks for millionaires, while other countries enjoy universal healthcare, paid maternity leave, free education thru the PhD level etc etc.
These same EU countries also ban endocrin-blockers and toxins that currently line products in our stores.

Yup, some fairly uninformed people....but ANYONE with a video camera and selective editing could get the same thing from McCain voters also. Go out to your local polling place and find your teen/twenties population voting for McCain and the responses probably would be similar. Doesn't matter who is running--you will get uninformed people voting for both candidates. It's simply a matter of having the determination to find them.

Not saying the people aren't well versed on politics (that's obvious), but if you do something like this, you HAVE to make it fair and balanced and show both sides.
Otherwise, it is simply propaganda, which can be tilted in either direction based on who is doing the editing.
