Trouble is now in the process of writing songs for a new CD with the plan of a summer 2009 release.
Tours will follow both in Europe and the States.

Trouble

In a recent interview with Rock N Roll Experience, TROUBLE guitarist Rick Wartell was asked if the group was planning to record a new TROUBLE CD with its new front man Kory Clarke (WARRIOR SOUL). "Yes," Rick replied. "We started writing and we've got eight or nine songs written and we're going to begin recording as soon as we get home from this East Coast leg and we are going to start piecing it together, so, YES!"

Regarding the new music's direction, Rick said, "I know people have said this a million times and I know you've heard this a million times, but it's pretty fucking heavy, let's put it that way! The music end of it that Bruce [Franklin, guitar] and I are writing is getting heavier and heavier...it's getting heavier and then we want Kory to incorporate his style to what we are doing, that's basically all that we really want out of this."

Speaking to Viewmag, guitarist Bruce Franklin of stated about Clarke's inaugural tour of duty with TROUBLE, "We
had sent him some MP3s and he had the chance to listen to some stuff but it is not the same until you are playing with the band. We only had a couple of rehearsals before the tour started and the first few shows were a little rough. By the fourth show it was getting pretty good and from there on it just got better. We couldn't expect him to learn twenty songs at once, so we picked the most popular songs. We were hoping to do more early songs but Kory was latching on to the early Nineties stuff because it has the most hooks and is the catchiest material. It's probably easier for him to remember those. We did a set list that was heavier in that era and finally managed to get one or two old ones in by the end of the tour."

KORY CLARKE joins TROUBLE

"Amidst many rumors it has been announced earlier today that Kory Clarke of WARRIOR SOUL will be the new front man, effective immediately.

The news comes as the band returns to their Chicago homes following a successful European Tour.

Trouble founder/guitarist Rick Wartell explains: "It was a mutual agreement, you need to follow your heart in this business and if you are not into it 100% then it is time to move on. We all felt it was the best thing for all parties involved. There are no hard feelings. I'm sure Eric (Wagner) will continue making music and we wish him the best."

He went on to say, "We are very excited to have Kory step in and take over the vocals for Trouble. He's been one of my favorite front men in this industry for many years. He will add a new dimension that we can use. It's not like we just picked out some guy to fill in, this is one of rock's most dynamic and creative front men in the industry. I know that when Trouble fans get a taste of what Kory does, they will not be disappointed at all. Anyone who has seen Kory with Warrior Soul already knows what to expect, and it's awesome."

Former TROUBLE front man Eric Wagner has released the following statement regarding his departure from the group:

"It is with my deepest regret that by mutual agreement that TROUBLE and I have parted ways effective immediately.

"I love them very much and I wish them nothing but the best. At this moment in time I just can't handle touring anymore.

"All I want to do is write songs and work on my new project BLACK FINGER.

"I am sorry and I love you all."

A live album with the new singer no doubt. Thankfully I ripped the audio from the "Live In Stockholm" DVD, though I don't care for the alternate version of "The Misery Shows"
Oww. My aching tentacles.

It will be a live album with the new singer Kory Clarke who kicks ass.
I wish Eric would not have quit but he did.
I wish him well.
Kory is a great singer and a welcome edition to Trouble.
I've seen the band with him four times now and each time he has gotten better and kicked more ass.
I commend Trouble for not getting a sound a like guy and forging out there with a new guy.
The guitars of Wartell and Franklin are just as devastating as ever.
I can't wait for a new album from these guys.
It should be great.
