That style of writing brings back memories. The wording is to the point & very specific. I hope the writer has a great holiday season.

They stapled his clothes, or they stapled him TO the floor? Because that is 10 times funnier.

They stapled him IN his clothes to the floor. Poor guy....along the outside of his jeans, shirt sleeves and his collar, I remember them laughing that he didn't even wake up when they stapled his shirt collar to the floor right next to his head.

Reminds me of one party I went to where a guy was stapled by his clothes to the wall, but about a foot off the floor. When he woke up, and was trying to work out how to get down, it was quite a sight!

Had to have been one MAJOR wedgie.

Complete and total. In college, I had the chance to get stuck on David Letterman's Wall of Velcro. They put you in a suit made of one side of the velcro, bounced you on a mini trampoline a couple of feet up in the air and then slammed you into a wall made out of the other side of the velcro.

Your body weight pushes you down into the crotch of the suit, showing no mercy. I have NEVER, before or since had my business pinched so hard by a wedgie.

 ,is granny ok? the channeling of deano's spirit sure did make 'ol granny a tough talking foul mouth tough as leather granny.this reminds me of that movie innerspace where dennis quaid suddenly enters the body of martin short and his confidence grows and the experiment ends up going haywire somehow.

Yes, for god's sake, don't tease us with "news" and "sources" without having absolute fact!

Even if it's the case,(and I still say WE'LL SEE) why would you actually be HAPPY that there would be no new music from THE voice of Journey, when you spend half of your life posting on a JOURNEY forum?

What a fucking miserable, down-trodden POS you must be.

Word is Perry is actually dead and has been replaced by a doppleganger (probably Hugo) ala Paul McCartney in 1966!
Either that or Perry is Hugo and is touring with Valentine and releasing music with Josh Ramos. Either way the wait for new Perry material will by far exceed the wait for the new Guns N' Roses record (which is a real shame).

I may be shot for saying this, but I believe if he doesn't release in 2009, then the chances of him ever releasing new music is now slim to none. That's thirteen years and counting with no music or singing appearances, except for the here-and-there harmony on other singers' songs.

No need to shoot--I agree with you. If the success of Revelation doesn't get Perry out of his cocoon, it's unlikely anything else will. One can only hope he is happy. It's obvious his fans sure aren't!

11 years. I Stand Alone was in 1998 on quest for Camelot. Not that 2 years is a big difference. But as George Costanza said "It's something, its hope".

Most of his fans will never be happy. That's evidenced by the great many many discussions about what he is, is not, might, might not be doing.

But what does Journey and Revelations have to do with it? I seriously doubt he's sitting there going "Omg, Journey has an album! I have to compete!" They had 2 1/2 albums before Revelation and he didn't move (when clearly THAT would have been the time do it, IF that were his motivation). If he's going to be motivated to do it, he'll do it. If not, then he won't. Simple as that.

Ease up killer, he's just kidding. You haven't been here long enough to know the personalities of the members yet. He's a great dude and a friend of mine. He's none of the things you said here. He's gone on record as saying that SP is one of, if not his absolute favorite singer.

The point was that Journey is actually having success at the moment. All things being fair, Journey is capitalizing off of The Soprano's and a very smart deal at Wal-Mart, but if anything is going to jolt a previously docile beak-nosed singer back into recording, seeing his former band have success without him could potentially be a strong promoter--depending on his feelings on the subject. It's as good of a motivator as anything else--especially since he is getting indirect publicity from Journey's success.

As far as timing goes, now is the best time in the last 10 years for Perry to make a resurgence. If he has any inclination whatsoever of making a regurgence, now is the time. If he doesn't take the chance now, I find it very unlikely that you will ever hear from him again other than the occasional studio cameo on backing vocals.
