A friend of mine gave me a free ticket to go see Saving Abel, Shinedown, Buckcherry, and Avenged Sevenfold in Columbus last week. I didn't know a damn thing about any of the bands except for Saving Abel, who I had seen opening for Airbourne earlier this year. I went away from the show liking SA and loving Shinedown and A7X... BUT....
....Buckcherry was a totally different story.
I, of course, knew "Crazy Bitch" and was kinda hoping/expecting the rest of their music to be different and was ready to not judge them based on their one hit single. Ugh, was I wrong. Don't get me wrong, the band itself was solid, but the lead singer was a completely annoying douchebag who did nothing but an unmelodic, non-fitting half-scream the whole time while dancing awkwardly and grabbing himself and going on stream-of-consciousness rants about how much he loved drugs and hookers.....

EVERY SONG sounded the exact same except for maybe two.. and the worst part of it all? At the very end I was "treated" to a 13-minute version of Crazy Bitch!! They were trying to be Dream Theater or something and failing.. this massive performance of the worst hit single ever was as annoying and rewarding as getting a handjob from a girl holding a piece of new sandpaper while watching Friga shave his damn legs.
They all had zero stage presence, which would be forgivable if they had extraordinary talent... but that was nowhere to be found either.
SO glad I didn't pay to see these guys, and I KNOW I won't be doing so again in the future. How they co-headlined with an epic band like A7X and went on after Shinedown is beyond me... same with them getting decent marks and praise/coverage consistently on MR.
horrible horrible shit.
