This is worse than the Youtube video that got him the Gig in the first place. What a nice way to rest up for the next Tour. I'm hoping he was lipping from an old performance, if not he has definitely slipped a lot vocally.![]()

How is he promoting the new album when he is singing an old song?

You really can't compare the professional sound at a show to this stage karoake event.

Onestepper wrote:His voice sounded fine..if not great. But I do have to admit that it was weird just watching him sing that song alone on the stage without the band. American Bandstand-ish if you will. Please don't do that again.

Maybe he's promoting Steve Perry's new album "Steve Perry Presents: Journey's Greatest Hits"

Come on, It's a Journey song and part of Revelation Album. This is a good promotion as Journey is not big in the Philippines.

It doesn't sound clear to me, and at the end when he's going for the high notes, he's very ragged almost yelling. I saw him on the last week of the tour and he sounded better then this. He's back to sounding like a bar singer to me. I hope it's just the layoff, but you can't teach an old dog new tricks and his accent and other things may never stay away especially on these trips home when he doesn't have to speak English. Touring Asia, he can get away singing like this, but when he comes back to tour the states, the voice lessons need to come back into play.

I kinda disagree with this on the basis that even before Arnel became the lead singer of Journey, we can still regularly hear a Journey song on mainstream radio whereas you only hear them mostly on classic rock radio stations in America.

You could be in Outer Mongolia and chances are you'd hear DSB at some point....
lol...I met a group of about 40 friends in Vegas for the first two shows, about 10 friends in Dallas, about 6 in Charlotte, about 20 in Cleveland, 10 in Chicago, 20 back in Vegas again, and a handful in New York at the NY State Fair. I think that's all of them!!! Traveling is fun. Try it.Matthew wrote:Saint John wrote:Yeah, the number after 7 and before 9.Matthew wrote:Saint John wrote:Solid. Not great, but solid.
