Gee......let me see......vegetarian who never eats meat..........all of a sudden eats Mcnasty food.............supersizes every time he eats............eats it three times a day.............gets sick.

Didn't see that plot twist!    I was forced to watch that for health class in college. How many people eat there every meal, every day, and supersize every time they ask? Almost no one. I have seen a few of his so called documentaries, and most are rigged to the outcome of his ideology.

Funny to see him puke after putting greasy food in his stomach. He is a bit too much of a Drama queen for me.

I've gone on McDonalds Binges where I've had two double Quarter pounders, two times a day for 2 months straight and Drink a six pack of coke every day. I gained 20 pounds in two months. Was it McDonalds food that did it? No, it was me not exercising, eating even when I felt full because I was bored. People always want to blame somebody, especially a big Corporation like Micky D's. I like McDonalds and Carls JR. and In and Out Burger. The generation before seemed to eat more meat and fries than we do and butter and whole milk. They seem to have survived. Why? Maybe because there were 6 channels on T.V., no internet and no video games and to have fun you actually needed to go out and do something. Generation X is the generation of eXcuses, freakin'wussies.

My daughter's teacher made her watch that last year in 6th grade middle school. They did ask permission and since I had seen it already, I let her. The good that came out of it though is that we talked about it after and she is careful about what she orders for fast food now. She will order grilled chicken over a burger most times and sometimes the salad over the fries. So it made her aware anyway. She knows that no one eats it the way he did though, so it's not like it was completely realistic and we eat there so rarely it isn't going to do to her what it did to him. One of those things that makes you think but isnt' going to make you boycott fast food altogether. For us anyway.

I got four generations of horrible heart heredity on my side. My dad was an ex D1-college athlete in great shape who still needed triple bypass by 50 two years ago. I'm 22, a collegiate athlete, and very active, and I still am careful about what I eat - I'd rather not have a heart attack and/or have my chest cut open someday. I'm no nutritional saint, but I do eat very healthy 90% of the time - when I slip up and tend to eat shit for like 3 or 4 days, I'll just tell myself to watch it, and halle-fuckin-lujah, I do. Plus, most of the "bad stuff" I eat isn't stuff that's bad for your heart. I love sugary/sour candy for instance. People just have no will power and no discipline, hence the blaming others. The moral of the story is moderation. Ya gotta have it.

I haven't seen Supersize Me and I'm sure it's amusing enough, but the premise is so incredibly dumb. Aside from his never eating meat, let alone fast food, the premise that you get hurt from overdoing something is a consequence of just about anything pleasurable or even healthy that I can think of. You like exercise? Well, it's gonna hurt you in the end to pound on the treadmill for 6 hours a day. You'll get severe shin splints/tedinitis at best. Not to mention run your immune system down etc. You like sex? Well, you fuck 10 times a day for a month straight your dick's gonna be fuckin raw for a while. You like vegetables? Eat too many of em, your shit's gonna look like leaf logs. You like long-distance road trips? Take too many too quick and your car will die well before its time. You get the idea. Fuckin dumb.

Oh I am a big beer drinker. Don't drink anything else besides the occasional vodka or rum. Love the darker stuff too

I'm not too worried about it - that's more a blood pressure thing. No bad blood pressure, just cholesterol on dad's side.

I'll have to check into it. Winter always puts me in the mood for Sam Adams Winter Lager, Sam Cream Stout, Great Lakes Christmas Ale, and Yuengling Black and Tan. Been crushing those lately.

If you have a Trader Joe"s or Trader Ming"s, they have it for sale during the holiday. I"ll have to try out the Sam Cream stout, is it pressurized?

I got a Trader Joe's at home "home." Not here though :( Have to wait til I get home. I'm not sure if the Stout's pressurized or not, you can prolly look it up.

Here's the BA review: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/35/1879/

If you're a stout drinker I don't think you'll be disappointed

I had the same feeling after watching it that you did. He seemed to have an agenda, and really was playing for the cameras a bit much -- I specifically recall one scene where he was talking about how depressed he was feeling, and it just seemed artificial. Still, it was enough for me to boycott McDonald's for a few years... haha. I've just started going again occasionally, but only for the healthier things... no hamburgers or fries.

The one accusation about Mickey D's that has always fascinated me is the one about them adding chemicals to their food to cause an increase in appetite. I've heard that from several places but can't find hard proof, and certainly no details of what they are adding. It's not hard to fathom, since tobacco companies added addictive chemicals to cigarettes, but I'd like to know if it was true.

I just never liked their food. If I eat out I eat something good. I would rather have a good sandwich from McCallisters, or eat at a good restaraunt, that has vegetables for the side, not greasy fries. I seldome eat burgers and fries. Not that I don't like them, but I make them at home. They are better and the grease is cooked off. I hate greasy stuff!

Agree with everything you said. Good thing they don't have In and Out Burgers here. Had one of those for the first time a couple years ago, they're messy but good! It's become a ritual when I visit Cali now, we stop and have an In And Out Burger before they drop me at LAX.

Do you remember the song~Junk food Junkie?

You know I love that organic cooking
I always ask for more
And they call me Mr Natural
On down to the health food store
I only eat good sea salt
White sugar don't touch my lips
And my friends is always begging me
To take them on macrobiotic trips
Yes, they are

Oh, but at night I stake out my strong box
That I keep under lock and key
And I take it off to my closet
Where nobody else can see
I open that door so slowly
Take a peek up north and south
Then I pull out a Hostess Twinkie
And I pop it in my mouth

Yeah, in the daytime I'm Mr Natural
Just as healthy as I can be
But at night I'm a junk food junkie
Good lord have pity on me

Well, at lunchtime you can always find me
At the Whole Earth Vitamin Bar
Just sucking on my plain white yogurt
From my hand thrown pottery jar
And sippin' a little hand pressed cider
With a carrot stick for dessert
And wiping my face in a natural way
On the sleeve of my peasant shirt
Oh, yeah

Ah, but when that clock strikes midnight
And I'm all by myself
I work that combination on my secret hideaway shelf
And I pull out some Fritos corn chips
Dr Pepper and an ole Moon Pie
Then I sit back in glorious expectation
Of a genuine junk food high

Oh yeah, in the daytime I'm Mr Natural
Just as healthy as I can be
Oh, but at night I'm a junk food junkie
Good lord have pity on me

My friends down at the commune
They think I'm pretty neat
Oh, I don't know nothing about arts and crafts
But I give 'em all something to eat
I'm a friend to old Euell Gibbons
And I only eat home grown spice
I got a John Keats autographed Grecian urn
Filled up with my brown rice
Yes, I do

Oh, folks but lately I hae been spotted
With a Big Mac on my breath
Stumbling into a Colonel Sanders
With a face as white as death
I'm aftraid someday they'll find me
Just stretched out on my bed
With a handful of Pringles potato chips
And a Ding Dong by my head

In the daytime I'm Mr Natural
Just as healthy as I can be
But at night I'm a junk food junkie
Good lord have pity on me
