Yeah, not going to lie - I'm from the "new generation" and I don't know a thing about Triumph.
Love Triumph! Give them a listen when you get a chance.

Well, if the December 2nd entry from Kiss news has any truth to it - it's not going to be Queen.

http://www.kissnews.de/NewsUSA.htm

It says Queen has split with Paul Rodgers and all 2009 dates have been canceled. But it also said the 2009 Queen tour was supposed to be with Kiss.

I never thought Journey and Queen would tour together.

I hope it's true! I'm against a tour with the new Queen. Tickets would be super expensive and Journey would probably be a quasi-opener like with Def Leppard.

Those acts were high on the wish list last year as well. However, I don't think Carlos likes Neal very much for some reason.

Not to mention Queen + Paul Rodgers sucked. Even Queen in their prime would be a strange pairing with Journey. Love 'em both, but still...

Yep, that would be great. Last summer I was hoping for a Loverboy/Foreigner/Journey pairing. Time for me to bring that back up for the 2009 tour package. That would be awesome! Plus, the bill will probably have Foreigner on it in some form, since the bands were supposed to play together this fall before Journey decided to take some time off.

That'd be great, especially if the new Foreigner line-up is as good as advertised... still haven't checked them out, but I should, from what I've heard.

I was thinking they might only tour with one other band this next year and not two.

With no new album out, or more importantly, the Arnel story already told, they need the second band to be killer. If they want to play the same size venues as last year, a third band might not hurt. I think the Cinderella Story was a bigger factor than Walmart, as most people didn't seem to give a shit when they played the new songs at the shows.

If this is the case, it's time for Brian May to put his money where his mouth is and select Soto to front the band.

You might be right. Plus, if the economy is even worse shape next summer, they will need a good concert package to get people out spending money for it.
