Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Thats because it was. It was done by the artist Magritte. He also did this pic.

I think your artist must have been inspired by his work. The one with the stove on the link is very Magritte with a twist. :D

Some of my favourite art works...

'Circe Invidiosa' - which is in the Adelaide Art Gallery, and the prints never get the colours right - the liquid glows an unearthly green!
Image

Albrecht Durer - one of the first surrealists, in my opinion! Not quite sure why his interpretation of a rhinocerous has always appealed to me...
Image[url]

Alan Aldridge - first found his work in "The Illustrated Beatles Lyrics" and I've been a fan ever since. This one has a lushness I can just stare at for hours...

How could I forget Escher! I considered getting one of his pieces as a tattoo for years!

I remember seeing this at around 15 and being amazed at how big the canvas is, after being used to seeing it as a poster print or in a book.

LOL. Every time I get to the Art Institute in Chicago I HAVE to see this painting. It's estimated that it has 3,456,000 "points" on it. I cannot imagine conceiving, let alone executing this.

Totally serious, didn't you say on the other thread you did artwork? Maybe I am confused..........I don't make fun of people about their art. I encourage people to be creative. :D
I just checked the other thread, I was right, you said something about you did dragons! I was completely serious. SM I am an art teacher. I love to see people do art. I am not highly critical because artists are at all stages. It takes years to become a master. I am far from there! :D
