SNL pokes fun at Journey

Postby T-TIME » Wed Dec 10, 2008 7:02 am

Hello again everyone. On SNL's weekend update Amy Poehler started the Joke off by saying " There is a airport in Houston opening Karaoke spots throughout the airport to entertain people waiting for the flights." Then the punchline was - " Yea thats what I want... a bunch of non professionals singing "Journey" while I'm waiting for my flight." I now will be boycotting all NBC programming. Except Sunday Night Football. And " The Office"
If you love life then don't waste "TIME",

I don't think it was Journey they were making fun off... "a bunch of non professionals singing Journey..." as in "idiots who can't sing butchering classics..." That's how I read that anyway, but I didn't see it so I dunno.

Drunk people who can't sing always sing DSB at karaoke... maybe that was the point?

Actually... if you think about it, this is a recycled Family Guy joke.

I thought they were implying that Journey's new singer was found in a karaoke bar.

No doubt whether they would be that informed on the lead singer debate....or that subtle in the humor

I would have to watch the episode, Journey is sung a lot by Karaoke singers. It would not matter what group she said. Could be they referenced what band was sung the most. I don't know. :? :?

It did not begin as trash talk....just a friendly little posting of a star that seemed to get under your skin................

yea, yea.. tell it to the judge. Besides the Browns helmet, or a Ravens logo, the Cowboy logo on a Steelers fan page is like the Natzi symbol.. foul, and utterly disgusting with hatred  .. ( let alone "cackling" while doing so. )
