Me too! My daughter has a snow day today so I'm working from home. It's nice to be able to take a break and peek in here! :) I have some things for work that I HAVE to get done today, so that is keeping me motivated. My daughter is happy playing video games in her pajamas! I'm not looking forward to the shoveling I will be doing later on!

Snowstorm after snowstorm after snowstorm. Chicago is getting pounded this month. I'll post some pics in a while, but unfortunately, I could make it into work this morning. So I am not in my PJ's. :(

MG, I absolutely live for the sunshine and warm weather. I am not a cold weather guy at all...today is perfect weather in my book. Weather that you can lay out at the beach with a cooler of beer and sunglasses and sweat...thats my type of weather!!!

Is this the correct thread for me to smugly talk about my lazy days of skin diving in crystal clear warm water, followed by the delights of sitting in my garden, eating fresh seasonal fruit (mmm! Peach season started this week!) and then maybe settling into the hammock to read a book by sunlight til around 9pm?

My parents are flying over to London Monday am to visit me- flying out of O'Hare :!: . I tried to warn em - dont even think about flying over Christmas. You'll either never get here or never get back- wait till April.

Its bullshit drama. Fuck the news.

It normally takes me 30 minutes to get to work - today it took 45 because the roads are horrible and I needed to drop it down to 30 to 40 mph. No big deal.

The news LOVES to run in drama queen mode the minute a snowflake falls. Yes, its very bad out there, but seriously, its the midwest - its not like its the first or worst storm we've had. You just dig your car out, accept the fact that you are probably going to need to leave early or might be late to work, slow your stupid ass down, pop in a CD, relax and watch the road. Freaking out doesn't help a damn thing.

They'll be fine. Trust me. It's the sidestreets and shit that are a pain in the ass. O'Hare is a beast. Snow doesn't mean shit. :D

That's lovely.....now get stuffed! I had a very profitable business day booked, which is now shifted to Sunday, and we are supposed to get a 3rd storm then. Ontario, Canada, (where we live in igloos) is getting slammed. Here is link for some of you warm weather folks. Just click on a camera and it will show you the weather there.

I'd miss the seasons a bit if I lived in Florida, but nothing pisses me off more than people who run around gleeful, saying they "love" winter and can't wait for snow. Ok, maybe the first big snow fall is exciting. It's pretty passe by the third or fourth fuckin time around, let alone by April when it still sometimes is fucking snowing! People that run around telling me how I should be excited for snow are liable to get their fuckin nose broken if they get too close, especially if it's after New Year's.

Totally agree with your post. Although I love the snow, you can keep the bitterly cold wind chill days. But saying that, I DO love having 4 distinct seasons though.
