Christmas Music

Postby Don » Fri Dec 19, 2008 2:32 pm

There is so much great Christmas music out there. There are still many songs I have never heard of or perhaps never new the titles to.
Just put a link for a favorite or a unique song from youtube here so we can have an easy access Xmas music selection.

Sucks. Of course you DO know Andrew has a man crush if not complete homosexual desires for Mr. Australia, Springfield, right? Your lifeline here is probably on a short sand hour glass.

Regarding Christmas.

Ok, grab your socks and hose and pull!

I hate it. Hate it all.

It's so Goddamned commercial. It is supposed to be a celebration of the birth of Christ, and according to the Good Book, Christ was born sometime in the early Spring. Anyway, I hate that fake shit I hear all fuckin day at the Supermarket. Roasting Chestnuts on an open fire? Huh? Dude, please. Nobody roasts anything anylonger. Everyone dials Honeybaked Ham or KFC. Dreaming of a white Christmas? Yeah, us here in SoCal got a taste of that icy flaky shit and although they loved the first 20 minutes, on the 21st minute, people were either skidding out of control, pissed at a road closure, or just too stupid too understand what the Hell snow was/is. I am sure the people of Chicago, Pittsburgh, Portland, Maine or Philly want a white fucking Christmas. Dude, it looks good on a Christmas Card with a fat lazy welfare senior riding a train or sleigh through huge snow drifts, but I bet you folks in Altoona or Lansing don't want that shit around their houses.

Gunbot, sorry for pissing on you here, but damned!

Just share your jubilation with the other 3 or 4 Christmas threads also please.
Most Christmas music for me is a time machine that brings back memories of my Grandparents and family get togethers when I was young growing up on the east coast and actually having a White Christmas once in a while. I don't really associate it with the here and now.

Ok Gun-

This was in 2007, in Europe. I don't expect the Journey fans to watch this, but perhaps Journey should be this creative?

I want to say this is Oslo or Stockholm. No, he talks French at the end. Who the fuck knows anyway?

Cheer the fuck up. Doesn't matter if Jesus was born on Dec. 25th, March 30th, or last Tuesday. It's different for everyone, and regardless of your religious affiliations, or unaffiliations, this is a time of year to reflect and appreciate what you have, who you have. I doubt Jesus really cares if we celebrate his birthday or not, if you believe, just so long as we remember his teachings. Do you think I'm spending all Tuesday night in a car driving 13 hours only to turn around and repeat it on the following Sunday because I like it? (Ok, I do kind of like it.) But Christmas can mean whatever you want it to mean to you. It's as personal as your walk in or out of faith. For me, (other than the meaning behind the holiday) Christmas is about family and home, and memories and love, and food and football and such.

So go hug Lula and Wyatt, you big oaf.

Noooooo we fucking do NOT. You were right, for the first 20 minutes, when you're still in your house, its like "Ohhhh pretty!" When reality kicks in and you realize you now have to go get on the UNPLOWED streets and UNPLOWED interstate to get to work and the news is scaring you with stories of jack knifed trucks and exit ramps buried under five feet of ice and demons popping out of the snowbanks and whatnot... it quite seriously sucks.

That ^ was my morning.

That's true. So if he chooses to be a grinch, let him be one.

Chistmas I don't mind.

This friggin' snow and grody slush can kiss my ass though.

The next 10 years are going to be colder than normal, due to decreased solar winds so get used to it. It won't be as bad as the Mini- IceAge that occurred during the revolutionary war period, but it will still be rough on those dealing in agriculture.
