MG, I absolutely live for the sunshine and warm weather. I am not a cold weather guy at all...today is perfect weather in my book. Weather that you can lay out at the beach with a cooler of beer and sunglasses and sweat...thats my type of weather!!!

That's just cuz you've never spent a day snowmobiling or sledding-don't worry, I'll convert you some day.

I'm in Florida and it's warm and very spring like, but I've been complaining for the last two days. I want it to be cold but with lots of sunshine. I feel bad for complaining, but we have this weather year-round. Geez, I hope we're not in shorts on Christmas day  .

I've always been a horrible listener. My morning commute was fine. Left around 9am so the rush was over, took my time, didn't drive like a dick. No worries. But, I also am 7 miles from the office and it's all city streets and main roads. (It's the evening commute and the refreezing of the slush I'm worried about tonight.)

Yep. And all the people who took that advice made MY drive easy, considering conditions.

It was not as bad as they are screaming about. In some areas, sure. But I managed to safely navigate unplowed arterial roads and an unplowed interstate safely. You just have to slow down, be careful, avaoid anything where there's a possibility of getting stuck, watch the road and lastly, watch for people who are NOT doing the aforementioned. Evening drive always sucks more for some reason. But the same navigational rules apply.

Go fork yourself. I had my South Carolina winter last year and it stayed frigging cold for weeks in Jan/Feb. But I also was working nights too, so no wonder... right?

Listen, if you miss it that bad, I'll mail you a jar full of the stuff. Believe me, we have plenty! :P :D

Well, they normally DO work nights at strip-clubs!  HO!!! Call me crazy, but I grew up in Canada and Oregon. I'm STILL not used to the heat out here. :x

Here in CT, it all started innocently enough....

Approx. 11:45 AM, teeeeeny tiny snow started to fall.....uh oh......

One hour later, Mark called me; asked how the weather was @ home - I was downstairs on the computer; ran upstairs to look...

....AND IT WAS A BLIZZARD!

They let him go home early from work - he left 5 mins later; got here at 2PM....which is good time, considering....

 ....and now I've been "called in" to shovel the sidewalk. :x :x :x :x :x

As I said, be careful. You only have one back. My brother had 3 discs collapse. Had to have a rod put in his back. Can't even bend over to tie his shoes anymore.........  Use your knees a lot. :(

OK; I'm back. 8)

Never thought I'd say these 5 words, but:

Snow-shoveling is very theraputic.

I had a lot of built-up frustration - tomorrow will be one month since my job was Terminated.
This allowed me to work that out & focus it on the snow....which, BTW, was not bad at all: very light & fluffy.

I feel much better.....poured myself a glass of Chianti; gonna go have Pizza.

Be safe and warm! CHEERS! \~/

Luckily for me the show stayed north of me. We did have some sleet/freezing rain but it wasn't too bad and I made it to the hospital just fine.

I am one of those people who like snow......at least until Christmas. After that.....you can have it. Although the snow is not bad.....it's pretty and it's great snuggling weather.

But it's the bitter cold temps that come in Jan and Feb that get to me. The older I get, the more I want to move to someplace warm.

I live an hour north of L.A. and it snowed(!) like a mutha here--we got at least a foot. We do get a dusting every 3-4 years, but nothing like this! I know it's squat compared to what some of you have to endure every year, but this was a huge deal for us! :D

Meanie! It's currently -20C here (-4F) - at least it isn't snowing right now.
I live between two mountain ranges, so it's nothing to clear a foot of snow off

SherriBerry, my dear, when I eat my sun-warmed peach picked straight off the tree for breakfast tomorrow, I shall think of your suffering, and feel guilty.

For about three seconds. Then my mouth will be full of tasty, dripping peach flesh and I won't have time to think of anything else!
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!
