No excuse to take a personal foul unsportsmanlike conduct on a field goal that resulted in 7. Collins managed very well, and completed 4th down balls that hurt, one for a TD on a whiff tackle.

60 minute football but a loss wouldn't hurt. I don't count out The Stillers.

Ever.

Going to be a helluva playoff.
You have a lot of excuses. Playing the Patriots, Cowboys, Ravens and Titans in 4 consecutive weeks is a motherfucker. Going 3-1 in that stretch is awfully impressive.

Why everyone is sleeping on Denver, I don't know. Manning and the Colts is a given by the way they play late in the season.. they've been doing this as long as 18 was back there under center. Playoffs is your team against the world, and it is WIDE OPEN.

more than likely denver will play the indy colts in the opening wild card round and that will have plenty of offensive firepower between cutler and manning and since denver will win its division the colts would have to travel to mile high to play in denver.that will be a great one if it happens.....

Denver win it's division? Hey, if Buffalo can pull this out today, Denver is done. They have to go to SD and play a hot Chargers team, who IMO, is better than Denver.

i'm hoping that denver does lose to buffalo today and turn around next week to face the chargers and lose again so san diego would get the wild card and not denver.

Chargers Rule...Donkeys suck!

Are you all ready for the "Hochuli Bowl"?

8-8 sucks ass but if it's good enough to win the AFC West...SO BE IT.

The NFL still uses the archaic Division Winner rule to determine playoff placement. So while it does suck ass to have teams with better records sitting outside, that just the way it is.

Let me ask you this. If The Steelers lost 8 games by a combined 34 points but still had a chance to go to the playoffs by winning their division...would you complain?

Get to the playoffs baby...anything can happen.

I actually made a point about winning the division first and foremost in another thread, and this is a prime example of my posts. Doesn't matter what the record is or how the games are won, if you win your division games and ultimatley win your division, you are automatically guaranteed a playoff spot, and then everything follows after that.

Sadly, a division like the AFC West has no business stepping one foot in the playoffs, or on ANY field during playoff time, but in the same breath deserve every bit of it.

That's the nature of the game.

Last I checked, it doesn't make a difference how many games you lost by how many points. Whether you lose by 1 point or 100 points, it's still an "L"! The Chargers will not be a serious contender in the playoffs. They have a shitty coaching staff and too many players who have no heart!

This from the guy who said that once Tom Brady went down, there is no way in hell the Patriots could go anywhere. Check yourself, that system has been in play for awhile now and while I agree that Tom runs it best, Matt did wonders for my opponent in my Fantasy Football playoffs.

I agree...on both counts. As a Titans fan, I do NOT want to see the Ravens OR especially the Chargers. TN hasn't matched up well against the Bolts for the last few seasons. Allthough I think John's right on about the coaching staff. But both of those teams scare me just a bit. The Colts? Not so much...TN has played them well (and won quite a few of the meetings) over the last few years.
But that's just me as a TN fan. I also disagree that they're gonna roll over in the playoffs. To me, this win today was a statement. Beating one of the finest teams in the NFL WITHOUT Vandenbosh OR Haynesworth? I think at this point respect HAS to be given to Tennessee.

But then again, I AM a homer :)

Hot? They're fucking 7-8 and 3-3 in their last 6. How's that hot? Considering they beat sorry ass KC by 1 point twice they're lucky they even have a shot at the playoffs!!! Being in that dirty diaper of a division helps, too.

I'm a homer when I need to be, that's what diehards do. But I give credit when credits due. Yes, the Titans celebrated like this was their Superbowl. Fine. I've seen and watched football way too long to declare anyone Champions in the regular season. Ask the '04 Steelers, the '05 Colts, the '05 Bengals, and the '07 Patriots about that one. IF, by chance, the Steelers play Tenn again in the AFC Championship, it'll be a lot different than what you saw today. Hopefully their will be no shit splat turnovers like what happened against my team today. Enjoy the victory, bro.. but remember we are in the mirror view mirror.

We will see.

You obviously haven't been watching the Chargers if you really believe they are "hot". They are a fraud of a team and everyone who seems to think they are a team that "nobody wants to play" in the playoffs should have a hair follicle test administered, immediately! The Chargers may win a playoff game, because even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile. I wouldn't fear them, AT ALL! They have proven all season long that it doesn't take much to beat them!

And I stand by my comment. In case you haven't been paying attention, there is a very good chance that the Patriots won't make the playoffs. As far as I can tell, that's a huge step back from being 16-0 and in the Super Bowl one season ago. If the Patriots manage to sneak into the playoffs, they are no more of a threat than the Chargers are, and I expect that they will lose the first game they play. I may be a fan but I'm not out of touch with reality!

As someone already said, they have many losses by a few points. Also, take a look at the standings John. The Chargers Points For (PF) and Points against is better than a lot of teams already in the playoffs and about the same as New England's.
