IPOD HELP AGAIN SORRY!!!

Postby Kelley » Tue Dec 23, 2008 1:56 am

Wanted to know if anyone can help me figure out how to "decrypt" DVD concerts that I have to play on my IPOD. Last year I put all my DVD concerts onto my IPOD but have lost my instructions, so any help would be appreciated. The concerts that I did have on my IPOD have suddenly "dissappeared" dont know what happened so now I have to put them on again..

well after seeing your two posts. I think it would be best to just throw away your Ipod and go buy a portable 8 track tape player. Much easier to use. :D

Most software will decrypt and rip in one process. I use AoA DVD ripper, DVD Fab, and Total Video Converter interchangeably. I wish i have more time to type to give you a more detailed instructions...To look for your old concerts, look where your iTunes files are being stored (default is My Music/iTunes/iTunes Music). Check the tab for Movies or Videos in iTunes (when your iPod is plugged in) make sure that the setting to sync movies is checked. Even if your concerts are in your main library it won't copy/sync with your iPod with it unchecked.

To check where your music/videos are stored, click on Edit, Preferences in iTunes.

But I"m sure more questions will arise with an 8 track player than an ipod. :P

Have you tried asking these questions on the official Ipod forums? They've got moderators and others that could probably help you in a more insightful way.

ya, but there is one answer. when tape won't play jam a matchbook above tape or below and tape will play.

Give this freeware a try... http://handbrake.fr/?article=download
Available for Mac & PC, I'm using the Mac-version for years.
Simply click one of the iPod presets, if you think it'll take too long choose Video Codec MPEG-4 (FFmpeg) instead of H.264.

Good luck

I've heard good things about this software.

I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

They've got a free decrypter that works like a charm.
