Where's the love, dude? Those guys treated you like a king.

Love? Dude, I must not have told you all the shit they do and did. I will stop now, rather than make this a hate thread for those two undeserving twats. I do find it interesting that the few here, Skylorde, Frank, AlienC and myself, who did spend some adequate time with these assholes, all collectively cannot stand them. That should tell you something.

Neal and Jon don't like to surround themselves with assholes.     I'M JUST KIDDING!!!

Everybody mentioned above are good people, unfortunately not everyone mixes well together. That's all.

No-one in the Journey camp is perfectionist enough to really go all out to create a great record. It'll be the same old "Will this do?" attitude and if it has any success at all it'll be down to the deal-making of Azoff Management...
I agree. Hopefully, Arnel will be that guy. Shirley has always been a pretty good guy at saying "Hey, you need to do that over." Neal even alluded to making quite a few concessions to KS during the recording of Revelation. But I agree with you 100%. They need that one guy to say "Hey, we need to that again...it could sound much better."

They need to do more songs like 'Like a Sunshower'....seriously. That retro style suits them well.

I was thinking songs like Never Walk Away, Where Did I Lose Your Love, and Turn Down The World Tonight were really on the cusp of great songs, but just needed a little something more. While I'm not a big fan of Sunshower, I can appreciate its retro sound.

Edit: And I'm telling you, Rolie needs to sit in on a song or two in the way he and Perry used to trade vocals. Cain will just have to suck it up (Batting practice fastball for stevew2  ). It's what's best for the band.

On both 'Sunshower' and 'What I Needed', Schon is channeling an old-school Infinity vibe.

The production on NWA is what kills it for me. It sounds like the it was produced under the same criteria as the songs on disc 2. The rest of Disc 1 is done very well.

I forgot about WIN...perhaps the song on the CD that will best stand the test of time for me. In fact, I'm absolutely sure it will be the one. Great tune with tons of tension and energy.

Your numbers are bullshit dan.

How you can sit there and say greatest hits only sold 13mil, when RIAA certified it as 15mil??! Yet you sit there and say frontiers is 32 mil.

You might want to tell us your source for your bullshit numbers. Um, and your imagination is not a valid cite.

I posted the original thread over a year ago I believe. Again, I believe Journey's worldwide numbers are around 80 or so million so it does lend some credence to the numbers. Though, like I originally posted, I would have thought that Escape and Frontiers would have had each other's figures.

And your use of "you're" was improper.

Dick nozzle...when I type fast, I typo and accidentally type words that I don't intend to type. I OFTEN find myself recorrecting my own posts. Go fuck yourself.

BTW, I'm still waiting for you to support your bullshit....There's NOTHING valid about your claims.

I've given you HARD evidence by directing you to research Journey's certifications on the RIAA website. You claim you posted something a year ago...and that's good enough?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_be ... _worldwide

tell me where Journey has an album anywhere on the above list...please...

lol...I like the way the typo sent you over the deep end. Real stable, guy.

Again, I never claimed anything to be fact. I just pointed out something I came across and with the rumored "70 to 80 million worldwide" Journey supposedly has, the numbers fell in place somewhat nicely. If you want to sue me for "you're" blood pressure increasing like Oprah's waistline, fine. But it's not that big of a deal to me, dude. :)

Hows this...I like proving that you spew imagination-invented bullshit to further your agenda here...it appears you get your panties caught up in a bunch when someone calls your out on bullshit.

Saint John wrote:Again, I never claimed anything to be fact. I just pointed out something I came across and with the rumored "70 to 80 million worldwide" Journey supposedly has, the numbers fell in place somewhat nicely.

Oh? The 32.x million frontiers albums sold isn't fact? Perhaps you were told, read or imagined that the band sold X number of albums...so you figured, you'd multiply that number by .45 and assign that total to Frontiers?

Mighty convenient that the multiplier that you assigned to Frontiers was larger than the one you assigned to Escape. You're going to have a very hard time trying to prove your *assertion* made on page 6 of this thread that Frontiers was a more commercially successful album than Escape. Made up numbers dont count. I'm waiting...

RIAA numbers account for US totals yes, but don't sit there and try to support your claims with numbers that fall BELOW US attested numbers....it calls into question your entire batch of numbers.

I'm still trying to figure out how you came to the numbers you posted before....any time you want to cite your claims with a valid source, I'm all ears.

I have a love/hate relationship with Sunshower. Love how it starts and through the first 1/3 of the song. Then it sounds like they just ran out of material and lost their way. Very confusing given how strong it starts. Also love TDTWT.

I searched this issue to death last night and found out this site you found Gunbot is shit too. Most of the valid info will be found on the band in question website. Of course Journey wouldn't post anything of real meaning, but they did manage to erase Soto out of their band pic asap. Douchery runs rampant in Journeyland.

Edit: And I'm telling you, Rolie needs to sit in on a song or two in the way he and Perry used to trade vocals. Cain will just have to suck it up (Batting practice fastball for stevew2  ). It's what's best for the band.

I actually love Turn Down The World Tonight. Really great Song.

I agree with SM about Like a Sunshower, I really like the Infinity vibe on it.

I have a love/hate relationship with Sunshower. Love how it starts and through the first 1/3 of the song. Then it sounds like they just ran out of material and lost their way. Very confusing given how strong it starts. Also love TDTWT.

Agreed. Like a Sunshower isn't a perfect song, but I do really like the retro vibe on it and feel Arnel's tone on it is really good. And I swear it has a southern rock feel to it.
