Shouldn't this be good news for all journey fans? Don't worry, there's no way this current Journey will match the success of the Perry-led Journey. They haven't got much time and the taste in music of the generation population has moved on.

Doesn't matter what your opinion on the matter is. It is officially certified platinum and there's not a thing you can do about it.

Seeing as Perry has song writing credits on Disc 2 which means he gets paid something, I guess It's a good thing for everybody. Revelation did get noticed enough to push the GHDVD back to #1 and the back catalog climbed back up the charts so Smitty, Rolie, and Dunbar probably got a larger than normal mechanical royalty check that they weren't expecting, which is all good. :D

Whether it's "tecnically" platinum or not, Journey has sold 500k copies of a CD... something a lot of people here said they would not do without SP.

Technically they did do it with SP as a 6th member, seeing as disc two was recorded with no deviations at all, just a straight up imitation of the songs, along with his name on 1/3rd of the album's songwriting credits.
I understand what you're trying to say though.
The real GH package went Platinum X 15 this year also, so a good year for all the members of Journey, past and present.

And also Congrats to Jeremey for getting his name on the credits of NWA, nice to see his contribution acknowledged.

I have always maintained that it has a chance to go Double Platinum (just plain Platinum for the sour grapes group  ) and I still think that possibility exits in time. At any rate, congrats.

I think he's referring to the three groups of people who are sour-grapey over their respective singers getting ass fucked. Oh god, I'm starting to speak Saint Johnese. This is a poor sign. :?

Yeah, piss and moan sounds better anyway.

Congrats to Journey on a fantastic year.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.
