That is actually part of the chorus of "Street Of Dreams", and was sung by Joe Lynn Turner! Carla777, where are ya? She's turned me onto a lot of JLT music.

It always pissed me off how Deep Purple fans would rip on Joe Lynn Turner, and claim that he wasn't as good as Ian Gillan. I've always hated Gillan's singing, and I consider Turner to be one of the great singers in history. Not too far behind the likes of Jimi Jamison and Lou Gramm.

Street Of Dreams is a great song.

Yep. Stone Cold, and Street of Dreams. That's about it. He ruined Rainbow. No offense, of course.

I've seen your face before & you were standing by my side
I've seen your face before tonight
Maybe I just see what I want to see
I know its a mystery
Do you remember me
On my street of dreams
runnning through my memories
on my street of dreams...

I really loved this song!!!

:P

I didn't say that I didn't like JLT, or the songs on Down to Earth, Difficult to Cure, Straight Between the Eyes, or Bent out of Shape.....I just don't consider them Rainbow albums. Rainbow IS Dio....IMHO.

Great tunes in that CD...but still don't get..why JLT have to sing the songs from Rainbow or Deep Purple..i mean i love all that (btw think he is great with Rainbow, they become more popular in here, with the help of Mister Turner) , but he have enough great records by his own..anyway..i hope to see him with Big Noize around here SOON!! :D

Sure they were all good singers.

Take a listen to this, listen to the range of each performer.

Trvia: The song Josh is singing, "YOU RAISE ME UP" was written by Secret Garden's Rolf Løvland. He gets paid over a milion dollars a year in songwriting royalties due to that song being cover by over a hundred artists.
