Me either. My daughter got a skydiving trip for Christmas. You couldn't get me to jump out of a plane for anything, unless it was on fire. I get shaky on a stepladder.

My friend has been trying to get me to tandem jump with him for 12 years. My answer is always the same "What? Are you fucking nuts?!?!?!" Jumping out of a fully operational airplane is the equivalent of running around the ghetto with a Klan outfit on. It's just not a really good fucking idea.

I was wondering about that too. The guy taking the video had to walk the tightrope on those thin rails where the walkway was missing in places - and he didn't seem to even slow down for them. But how else could he have taken those shots? It's not like they could do it from a helicopter, and in some parts you could even see his feet. Either he had some kind of trickery or he is totally fearless - or just plain fucking stupid.

I have a fear of heights as far as looking down. I broke out in a cold sweat in the terrifying parts. I didn' t realize until he was going down that they had the chain to hold on to, but it didn't seem like he was using it he was going so fast.

Tito and I went to a Plokker party on the 40-somethingth floor at Lake Point Towers overlooking Lake Michigan ($$$$$$$$)and the place had floor to ceiling windows. Standing right next to the window looking down was a trip, man. You kinda had to do it slowly. Sweet place, though!!!

Never been to that one, but have been on the Banff gondola and know exactly what you mean when you go over the tower thingys, I hold my breath. Hate that part.

Filming is suspect - the camera barely bounces; to keep a hand-cam that steady needs a lot of stabilising equipment, which the guy's shadow just didn't show. His shadow over the steps looks wrong too - no distortion as the surface angle changes, it looks more the way a shadow would look as it goes up a ramp. In addition, when the 'cameraman' overtakes people on the path, there isn't enough sideways motion to get past a person with a back pack, and as others have said, the speed with which it moves is suspect.

I'm punting on a bloody good computer animation job using photo grounds and film cut in. I'll admit I'd be a little less suspicious if the location was identified - even the Spanish aren't going to let a path in that condition become a backpackers trail. Dare devils breaking the barrier, sure, but why the hell would they be carrying backpacks?

I'm calling it bullshit - which is a shame, because I'd do it in a heartbeat! With heart racing the whole time, sure, but I'd still be doing it! Adrenaline - who needs any other drug?

I'd hike it. So long as I had the harness. No big deal. I have a strange fear of heights, I can look down all day long, but if I look up at the edge of something high up, I'm done. In college we hiked some pretty wicked trails along the black mountains of NC, rappelling, rock climbing, all that. That trail looks fun to me.
