What are going to do for the new year???

Postby Babyblue » Wed Dec 31, 2008 10:59 pm

What will you be doing for the new year? Are you going to go out and party or stay at home & party? Or maybe just call it a day and go to bed early?

Happy New Year :D Hope that 09 will be great for all of us.

Already doing it! 5 minutes to midnight, somewhat sloshed, ignoring my pissed friends
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Working.
We have a gig tonight.
Then in 2009 we'll be looking for a new Agent. Ours sacked us on 1st of December. Her husband's business is now making millions so she doesn't need the hassle of getting gigs for her Acts any more, so she's let us go.

So we will be auditioning for some prospective new one's to get us work from now on. Fingers crossed.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.

We stay home. My hubby makes a wondeful dinner (crab legs, pasta, lobster). We put out the air mattress in the family room and the three of us (hubby, daughter, me) watch movies and have a sleepover. It's wonderful to just relax and enjoy each other's company. We only probably have a few more years of this until Lauren doesn't want to hang out with us on NYE, so we're making the most of it.

Staying home with the dog. LOL Don't feel much like partying or being around a crowd of drunks. I will have champagne at midnight though if I haven't drained the bottle by then.

Bravo!

I'm a big fan of the New Year's Eve sleepover. For years I used to host and we'd have our friends over and told them beforehand not to plan on leaving. I don't want anyone I love out on the road on New Year's Eve, so if you came to my house on NYE, I wouldn't let you leave. Everyone brought bedding and camped out and we'd make a huge breakfast in the morning. I know a LOT of people who do this.

Gee...it's so nice to NOT be working a NYE. 8)

I used to work at a Nightclub in the late 90s, and we COULD NOT get the night off. :x

Believe me....after seeing more than my fair share of idiot drunks, going to a nice restaurant with my Husband, having a quiet dinner & drinks, and going home to watch the things on TV is perfectly fine with me!

(BTW....it's a blizzard right now.....thank God the restaurant is at the bottom of our hill.)

Curling up at home with my husband on the couch watching the ball drop. I will make a great dinner, watch a couple of movies, and attack my husband after midnight. Sounds like a great plan!

WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR NEW YEARS?
Besides getting so smashed you end up sleeping with the friend who's been secretly in love with you for three years but you've known about it the whole time and really don't want to give her the slightest inclination she has a chance because your pet spider is more friendly and infinitely more attractive and there's more personality in a brick.
PEACE!

And here's a thought for everyone...Anyone who was born in the first two weeks of October was probably conceived on this very night! My birthday is October 8th, and my mother felt compelled to tell me that I was conceived on New Year's Eve    Now, I'm not so surprised when I meet endless amounts of people born right around the same time.

I was born exactly two weeks into October and I was conceived on January 22.
I wasn't planned but I know I didn't come from New Year's Eve partying.
And now I must go puke from even thinking about it. 'Kthxbarf.

Yeah I know. Figured it wouldn't take long for someone to mention that, but jeez, that was a record even for a loon. LMAO!!!!!!!!!

I didn't even know it was January when I left the ovary. I think I overslept. I meant to head toward the fallopian tube in November so that I could be born in August. I don't like cold weather. But that's me... I'm never on time for a damn thing.

Pregnany is not really "9 months". Its 40 weeks. January conceptions are due in October.
