NO WAY does he play Born in the USA.

I will bet you your fucking avatar he does. If he plays so much as a note of that, Chet-toad goes bye bye.

Yep , Born to Run, Born in the USA, and that one about the choo cho train that carries whores and gamblers... :D

LOL, Land of Hope and Dreams...naw, that is going to be played for BO on 1/20/09.

Deal. And that's a big thing to me, as Chet is a legend in his own right here on MR. Now, when BS doesn't play Born in the USA, what are you going to do? Show me your tits?

I'll show you some tits but they won't be mine. Nice try though.

Someone agrees with me:

http://blog.wired.com/music/2008/09/prediction-bruc.html

Someone else agrees too:

http://www.nj.com/sports/index.ssf/2008/09/predicting_bruce_springsteens.html

Its predictable as hell and cheesy so of course he's going to play it. Come on... Bad economy, war, people looking for things about this country to be proud of, especially now that Bush is going out... first black president inauguated just before the Bowl... of COURSE he's going to play Born in the USA. That's as predicable as Steve Perry not releasing a new record.

You just presented the argument AGAINST playing it. :)
Springsteen might've played it if Bush was still Prez, as a protest.
Methinks you'll lose the bet on this.

Born in the USA will NOT be played, and neither will Philadelphia or 10th Ave..

My Lucky Day
Badlands
The Rising
Prove it all Night
Born to Run

The naysayers all can eat dick and suck my ass. All the naysayers are Neocons and jealous. Everyone is jealous of the guy at the top, even Tito and Daniel Son.

Let's make it more interesting:
If Springsteen plays Born in the USA, in any form, I will use an avatar of your choosing.
If he doesn't, you have to use an avatar that I'll choose.

Here's what I think (not necessarily in this order)

Working on a dream (* Incidentally, I hope he DOESN'T play this, as I think it kinda sucks, but I'm bettin he will)
The Rising
Glory Days
Land of Hope and Dreams ( I don't think, particularly after an Obama victory, that this is a long shot at all!)
Born to Run

BUT- I wish he'd just say FUCK IT and play ROSIE then segue into 7 NIGHTS TO ROCK!!!! That would SO rule!

I love the DARKNESS stuff, but I think you're dreamin! :)

Ok, here's the deal- If Bruce plays Born in the USA, I will change my avatar to anything you wish, even a gay Friga pic.. If he doesn't, you have to have a Springsteen avatar for 1 complete year, as well as a Bruce verse in your sig for one year.

Agree?

One things guaranteed. He'll have veins bulging from his neck while he's turning beat red, while he's trying to break all six strings at once.

Yeah dude, you watched the USA for Africa video. Try watching anything else by the man. You would be pleasantly surprised at how well he sings live. He is very good live.

I think he has an excellent voice--loves to perform. Plus, I remember that he was dubbed the man that saved rock and roll--I believe it. I remember when Born to Run came out; the energy of the song--intense, fun, reckless fun maybe :) . I MISS THAT! I MISS THE 70s, DANG IT!
