AP just gave the Plokkers the news about 30 minutes ago that he and his long-time girlfriend Cherry have TIED THE KNOT! He didn't mention the specific date, but someone believes that they were married on December 24th.

Sherri, in the ShoutBox on Arnel's site he will visit from time to time and the fans that are always in there are called plokkers. I think I read it's because of the sound it makes while they're talking, the clicking. On his site, you can see a screen where they're in there and there is a noise when they're writing. Ripp would know the answer better. He goes in there.

We really have two categories -- Plokkers and Lurkers. Yes, a "Plokker" is a Shout Box participant, and I think the name came from TTango referring to the "plok" sound made by each post in the chat box. Arnel has actually sent shout outs to the Plokkers from the stage on tour with Journey in '08, which is cool! The AP site also recognizes the "Lurkers" who watch but don't engage in the conversation.

Thanks for the information! I had heard the phrase in some other threads too and wondered - first time a
Google search failed. It's great that Arnel acknowledges and appreciates the fans. I checked out
the website for his foundation and he is obviously a wonderful individual - despite how overwhelming it must have
been to join Journey and tour exhaustively, he made setting up his foundation and helping children a priority.

I am curious to know what nickname the band has for some of the posters on this forum
