What's your Saturday night gonna be?

Postby Rick » Sun Jan 04, 2009 9:48 am

Me? Getting hammered and listening to ROR.

Yeah, I know, it's a change for me, but I have been giving this record another listen lately and it's damn good.

I can see where people say it's Street Talk part 2, but musically, it's got great chops.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

I went last night here in San Antonio. They're in Dallas tonight. That was the most amazing show, I'm still blown away. :D

Not much here. just me, a good book, some Starbucks and a recliner. Maybe a little TV too. Kinda sad for a 25 year old but I couldn't think of anything more relaxing.

Put on a record and turn up the volume.

Listening to the title track right now of ROR. I don't know why this song gets such a bad rap. I think it's great.

Jeff was amazing, as always. It would've been nice if they'd put in him for a few more songs. You know how he commands the stage, he got huge applause several times during his solo. All around great performer. I hope he comes through Texas on the Beautiful Mess tour.

I'm celebrating the fact that my family have finally gone home after the Christmas Holidays and I finally have my home back. We are had some dodgy moments, but for the first time in years we are still talking and more importantly there is still some beer left - but not for long!

Moved on to GHL now. There are definitely production issues with this one. Good, overall.

I don't like how they dub over Houston with Detroit on DSB, makes you wonder how live the album really is.

Bored to tears - husband left today for an out-of-town job, he'll be gone possibly for months, so it's just me and the 3 dogs. Half-watching the Senators/Maple Leafs game as I go through my closets trying to decide what to wear to a company party that I'll be going to dateless next weekend. Good news is - no snoring to listen to for awhile (well - the oldest dog snores pretty bad but it's cute when she does it  )

Journey lost me with that gay ROR shit. Winger, Bon Jovi, WhiteSnake became part of my listening preferences at that point. I don't mind pop musiic, as long as the people doing it sren't rockstars trying to be Adult Contemperary stars.

Moved on to the 1983 Norman Oklahoma boot.

Sounds like a click track. Good sound though.

If you want this boot, pm me.
