Don't care much for Mr. Big, but I really like Gilbert's and Sheehan's work besides it. They are both world class musicians. But I am a pretty big Bruce fan too even though his politicking is obnoxious.

Don't care much for Mr. Big, but I really like Gilbert's and Sheehan's work besides it. They are both world class musicians. Perhaps though you're correct. Maybe the NFL should cancel Bruce and install EM and the gang for a 14 minute rendition of that song they had...whatever the fuck it was. That would have Tampa and the world on their feet! or maybe knee deep in booze and pills, trying to end life as we know it.

Take off your fanboy goggles Dean, Paul Gilbert could play all three of their guitar parts at the same time. Shaheen is also one of the world's premier bassists.

E Street Band plays great together, but they are far from the best when we're talking talent.

Bruce's music owns Mr. Big's. I'm not a Bruce hater like some here. A 20-octave voice isn't a prerequisite for a good song in my ears.

Nah, definitely not. Anybody that plays this long with that much success is world class in my eyes. I don't know how much input the rest of the guys typically get on a Bruce+E Street album in terms of songwriting? Enlighten me if you could? That would really heighten my opinion of Bruce's backing band.

Bruce writes the entire album via piano or guitar. Bittan adds his ideas as well as Steve. Clarence plays when and where Bruce tells him to. It is a one man show(director). No one argues in this band!
