Thanks Andrew. Wow, just joined MR-X! And my timing couldn't have been better, there is a 2008 folder full of tons of audio/video goodies that will be gone by Jan. 5th! The 8-part video Mr. Big Unplugged was worth the yearly subscription right there for me (something I DIDN'T have)! Just wanted to say thanks for sharing and for all you do and for putting up with this crazy bunch in 2008! :D

 Giving myself one of these for not joining sooner......... Image

Been a MR-X member for a long while now. It's a no brainer. You get WAY more than you pay for.

Thanks for giving us that Andrew.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Yes... people who love collecting and hearing oddities and demo's by these artists would LOVE the Mr. X area. Lots of good stuff to pick from. Now is the perfect time to get your subscription and get all this stuff before it's taken down and the new stuff put up.

With all respect to Bruce he is a mumbler and has nowhere near the vocal finesse of Eric Martin. He does however completely own Martin when it comes to the supposedly important stuff like worldwide recognition and money!

There's a reason for that. Writing, for every instrument in the band, on every song, playing guitar, piano and harmonica, everything.

PS- Deb, we in the States watch this little game called the Super Bowl. Ever heard of it?

Here Deb.

Here is a little clip of all the stars to play the halftime show.

Maybe if Eric plays and practices really really hard this year, he too can do this.

The players in Mr. Big assfuck the E Street Band six ways from Sunday technically as well. But that's only half the battle. Don't care much for Mr. Big, but I really like Gilbert's and Sheehan's work besides it. They are both world class musicians. But I am a pretty big Bruce fan too even though his politicking is obnoxious.

LOL. Have another beer. The E Street Band is the best band in the world. And that's with a very average bassist, and a under average drummer, but Gary and Max know how to play the music to suit Bruce and that is important. Also, three lead guitars, 5 voices, 2 keys and a behemoth of a sax player. Dude, check yourself, put any band in the world up against them and you fall short.

Perhaps though you're correct. Maybe the NFL should cancel Bruce and install EM and the gang for a 14 minute rendition of that song they had...whatever the fuck it was. That would have Tampa and the world on their feet! or maybe knee deep in booze and pills, trying to end life as we know it.

And are you saying Bruce, Nils and Steven, and Bittan are not world class musicians? Curious to hear your take on this.

Take off your fanboy goggles Dean, Paul Gilbert could play all three of their guitar parts at the same time. Shaheen is also one of the world's premier bassists.

E Street Band plays great together, but they are far from the best when we're talking talent.

Bruce's music owns Mr. Big's. I'm not a Bruce hater like some here. A 20-octave voice isn't a prerequisite for a good song in my ears.

Nah, definitely not. Anybody that plays this long with that much success is world class in my eyes. I don't know how much input the rest of the guys typically get on a Bruce+E Street album in terms of songwriting? Enlighten me if you could? That would really heighten my opinion of Bruce's backing band.

Bruce writes the entire album via piano or guitar. Bittan adds his ideas as well as Steve. Clarence plays when and where Bruce tells him to. It is a one man show(director). No one argues in this band!

Want some killer insight as to how they write? Rent Born to Run: Wings for Wheels. Magic stuff there.
