I do agree with the fact that he has made some of the dumbestest comments in recent history, but just think about this for a minute....If everything you ever said was recorded, and thrown on the news a minute later...how many dumbass comments would be out there on you?

You'd probably say "none, I'm not that ignorant". Some of you may be great public speakers that never fill your sentences with "Um's and Ah's", but as a public speaker myself (Who doesn't fill those sentences with unneccessary fillers) ...if someone followed me around with a mic at EVERY public event I've ever spoke at... It'd be ugly!!!

Yes...he's still a dumbass, but at least give him the credit that all of these comments came over an 8 year period, with him speaking at hundreds (if not thousands) of public events.

Obama can't say two fucking sentences without saying "Look" to whoever he's speaking to, while also looking like he's got a pack of Marlboro Lights shoved up his ass. Is it just me, or does he look like someone has JUST got done shitting in his Cornflakes every time he speaks? To me, he always sounds like he's talking down to whomever he's speaking to.

Change........Change..........Look.........Change.........Okay, change how???  the only thing he's gonna "Change" is how much I have left of my payroll, after I pay taxes! I want everyone to let me know how his "Tax break" for 95% of Americans goes......Just let me know!

Okay, I'm done here now... :D

Not only that, but when he's off teleprompter he literally holds the record for 'uhm's' and 'ah's'. You can literally see his brain moving in slow motion for him to be able to say what he means. Bush's stuff is pretty bad, but I don't think I've seen anything that says Obama is going to be much better when he is off script.

this had to become a him v him thread, lol. i guarantee all of you that obama will prove to be a much more gifted speaker. as he goes off script he does think, unlike his predecessor, and will, most of the time, say something intelligent and relevant and of course he can do that articulation thing pretty well.

bushisms are part of his shtick. this is one of my faves-

That one is hilarious. My thing with Obama is this...yes he does articulate, but nothing he ever says has substance. To me they're just shallow, generalized statements that go along with what everyone wants to hear. Lower taxes, better healthcare, more jobs, the government working for you...bla, bla, bla. I guess we'll see these big tax cuts soon.

I honestly hope he IS a success, and that he DOES do some good for our country. I just don't see it happening. The proof is in the pudding, so we'll all see soon enough how great of a president he is...

I agree completely! I'm not going to hold my breath about the tax break. I live in Illinois, so any tax break we may receive on the federal level I'm sure will be eaten up at the state and local level!

   Great one. There's so many to choose from.

I agree with Lula, watch him on Meet the Press or many other interviews. I'll take a few uh's any day when included in there is a highly intelligent man with a full grasp of the issues articulating his views when answering questions. You don't have to agree with Obama on the issues, but comparing him to Bush in that way is grasping at straws. Peace. 8)

I'm with Jim on this one. GWB wasn't the smartest tool in the shed for sure. He did have the toughest job of any American president since Lincoln, which was defending an attack on our own home soil.

We'll see how the "Change" goes with Obama. He's all about change but his cabinet choices look pretty familiar to me.

obama is moving into the white house in the most challenging of times in recent history. 2 U.S. led wars, a horrendous economy, the war in gaza, and with hope- restore the good name of the U.S. to name just a few challenges he faces as potus.

Yes I have heard of Pearl Harbor bro. If you read what I said, my note said on our home soil. Hawaii was not admitted into the Union until August 21, 1959. The Pearl Harbor attack was December 7, 1941. Hawaii was not our home soil until 17 years after the attack on Pearl.

Ok.
How about the Japs targeting Fort Stevens in Oregon?
Either way, by 1941 Hawaii was already a US territory, so the point is moot.
George W. Bush is no Abe Lincoln.

He is not even a derringer-blasted spec of cranial meat whizzing over the Ford Theatre orchestra pit.

Lincoln emancipated the slaves.
George W. Bush left a chunky mushroom gravy racing stripe down the middle of old glory.

Those who wish to provide him political cover by invoking bogus presidential comparisons would be best served choosing among: Hoover, John Adams, and Lloyd Bridges in Hotshots - Part Deux.

blind hatred never did anyone ever any good... since JAN 20, 2001... some have hated everything this adminastration has done.... except from 9/12/01 - until MAR of 03... and even then you held your nose to it... DEano read the books in 20 years after IRAQ has had a stable govt in place for 20 years..... and in three years when the Bush policy of bailing out everyone actually works and we all get paid back...

And the last question here... If its BUSH POLICY that GAS went up to 150.00 for CRUDE and that gas prices went to 4.00-5.00 why isnt it HIS POLICY that made the prices go down to under 40.00 for CRUDE and 1.45 for gas??? HMMMM.. ANSWER ME THAT... :-)

So?
And Vietnam is now a US trading partner.
Does anyone really look back on the Gulf of Tonkin as anything less than a false flag knucklefuck?

So far to bolster Bush's legacy, you have cited Katrina and 9-11 - (both of which Bush managed to poochscrew ) - and now you are trotting out price gouging, as if that's some sort of crown jewel after eight years of sheer political hell.
Next to sending Flintstone-shaped antiretrovirals to Africa, Bush's singular biggest accomplishment is hiding his Down Syndrome the way FDR hid Polio.

Next to sending Flintstone-shaped antiretrovirals to Africa, Bush's singular biggest accomplishment is hiding his Down Syndrome the way FDR hid Polio.

;-)

All done under the airtight veil of secrecy, and what little is known, has been illegal.
Benjamin Franklin has a neat saying about 'liberty' and 'security', you should look it up sometime.

You can allot blame to them all you want...
Bush lied to the masses saying 'no one could see this coming.'
Like every oversight agency, he gutted FEMA by appointing the former head of an Arabian horse sporting group to run it ("heckuva job, Brownie").
And the New Orleans Times Picayune had chronicled years in advance how money for the levees was being reallocated to Iraq.

Nice talking point.
Over 80% of the subprime loans were offered by banks not subject to the Community Reinvestment Act.
The crisis really hit the skids when Bush appointed an old prep school buddy in charge of regulating Freddie Mae and Fannie Mac.
And what about all the predatory lending consumer protection laws that Bush had removed as a means of promoting his "home ownership society."
Even Henry Paulson now says Bush went too far.

as long as OBGYNs can practice their love, that's all that counts.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Who is?
The lone assailant who's loafer-forward pass was quickly followed by anti-American demonstrations throughout Iraq?
What's really troubling is, after all this time, you still have the fuzzy novelty dice to harumph imperialistic - as if you somehow know what's best for the Iraqis.
We're not force feeding the Shia, Sunni, and Kurds their brussel sprouts, we're carpetbombing their country.
