OT- Kevin James

Postby madsplash » Wed Jan 07, 2009 2:13 pm

This guy is one of my favorite comic/actors of all time. Getting ready to watch him on the Tonight show in 30 minutes. The King of Queens is one of my top 3 favorite comedies ever.

I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry with Adam Sandler was great and Kevin's new "Paul Blart" movie looks hillarious.

His stand up on Comedy Central was classic. And you know, the guy never curses once. Not that I mind that, because I love Carlin, Pryor, Murphy,etc....
It's just really cool when you can make us laugh WITHOUT all of the dirty words.

To me, Kevin is a cross between Belushi, Robin Williams and Carlin. He makes you think AND laugh. The best of everything.

Anyone else love him and REALLY miss The King of Queens? Probably the last great sitcom.

Ever watch his Sweat The Small Stuff special? It pops up on Comedy Central now and then. Hilarious from beginning to end. Here's a bit of trivia...he wrestled on his high school team along with Mick Foley.

He's certainly NOTHING like the late, great George Carlin, but I love Kevin James. He's a funny bastard. In the interest of full disclosure, my relationship with my wife has always been eerily familiar to that of "Doug" and "Carrie" on King of Queens. Never a dull moment in our house

Kevin is funny, but you nailed it with the four you listed. Those guys are incredible.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Yep, that's hilarious. I like his stories about taking his van to Sears to get tires and flying from Flagstaff to Phoenix also.

25 years ago KGGO FM in Des Moines used to have LARRY the CABLE GUY on all the time... during the morning drive slots... and I used to think he actually worked for our Heritage cable company... back in the day... as that is where the morning drive guy used to work at... tell you what I knew!! Which is still nothing.

STeve we must of went to the same spelling school...
