There's no question that this forum has changed over the last few years. It's seen some really great times and some times that were just downright miserable. And it's all predicated on Journey. Yeah, that's bullshit isn't it? Actually, it's predicated on the membership.

There have been a ton of comings and goings at this site. Some of the goings were absolutely welcomed by the membership at large, and the vast majority of the comings have been absolutely great.

So, my question is this....

In respect to the time that you've been here, who and why are you glad to see who's come and gone?

It doesn't need to be overgratifying or nasty, just your opinion.

Me? I think one of the best additions to the board in my time has been Rip Rokken.

Interesting question, Rick....I like you!!!
and everyone....yeah, yeah and all their teams...
This place requires a certain amount of sugar and spice to make it interesting....I really like spice
To answer this question, I would reverse the wording to "gone and come"
Deano was already here when I came, he left and came back!!!! His posts make you go through
a rollercoaster of emotions... :D  :P   :?  :x ....I like it!!!
It's good to see his ugly mug back!!!!
wow, this is a little wordy for me...

I'm glad to have Deano back. His style of posting and vocabulary has me laughing out loud. And his inside info is always correct. I love Lula and how she keeps him in line.

I miss styxman, and Matthew doesn't post as often as I'd like. These two guys can take a joke.
NeilIsGod - where are you, as well? You are funny. True dat.

I'm glad that bloke who was a Paul McCartney lookalike has gone. He gave out really bad vibes.

I miss Laura.

I love all the posters who were active here when I joined....Rick, StJohn, Daveconversationpc, ArtVandeley, Nora, progrocker, liquid drummer, JoePa - even if he does always attack me 'cause he thinks I'm a Loon. But he gets kudos for cracking the best joke on here ever ......the turkey giblet university of business management post was SO funny.
TNC - always an education to read posts written by this MR icon.
Yulog and those photoshop masterpieces is a great asset to the board, too.
Monker - always a great read, too.
Uncle Hefty - always informative.
Marty Moffatt - a true genius with his camera.

I love them all.

Andrew and TBone - both class acts.

I love Deb, and Rhi and Michingan Girl, shadowsong & her Budgie and bluejeangirl and moonbeam - all of you who welcomed me when I was a newbie on here and wondered what the heck I had gotten myself into.

And of the ones who became active on here later.............ScarabGator [Don Henley lookalike,] DrFu, Crazy[dulce]lady, Gunbot, stevew2 - always entertaining. It's as if you have always been here.

I can't name everyone because I'd be here for hours, but I think every one of you brings something to this community and I always look forward to reading what you have all posted.

No offence to anyone I haven't specifically named - I do enjoy reading everyone's posts. I think out of everyone, stevew2 has made me laugh the most, though. What a guy.

xxx

P.S.
Happy New Year everyone.
Hope its healthy and happy for us all.

I used to dust it up pretty nicely with Ohsherrie, too. Can't say that I'm missing that all that much, though.

I haven't been in a fighting mood in a while, though, so maybe it's about time to rumble.

I like everyone and enjoy the majority of this community's posts.

Judging by how the board flows mixed in with the best time I've ever had in my life in Vegas and Cleveland, meeting the ones I have met are true top notch people. (Dan, Rip, Rhi, BJG, Gayle, Fu, Mel, Lynn, Tango, Stu, Behshad, Rick, Maui, Wix, Deano) and the list goes on..The ones I haven't yet met, I'm sure are in the same crop of top notch and come from the same breed. No matter who it would be, the new friends I've met, or the ones I have yet to meet, I'm sure we'd hit it off right away and share the same passion that comes within. Once you get a group of people that shares that same passion that unifies, there will be nothing that anyone can take away from that and it showed the trips I've made in Vegas in Cleveland.

Hope to meet more of you soon. ( Prog, Ehwmatt, Deb, stevew, Since 78, Jana, Scarab, MG, and the list goes on)

I am as easy as a two bit whore, I like everyone and everyone don't like me. Which means I have more friends!

Always heard this place was bad news. Ends up it just got a bad rap after some of the members here burned down that senior center after that Journey Concert killing 13 people.

Way I look at it is, those 13 won't remember anyway so what the Hell! :D

Those folks I met in Vegas didn't try to knife me or borrow money, so they are all good in my book!

Luv ya too Suz. :) And thanks to your "vibrato for dummies" lesson, I now have a much better understanding of what exactly "vibrato" is. Never really did understand what people were talking about when they mentioned singing vibrato. And I miss the postings of Yulog, Styxie and Matty too. And of course, one of my favorite next door neighbors, Mr. Larry. :) Hope you have a happy and healthy 2009 too. :)

Between Cali, Southbend and CT......I've met quite a few from the board and we's got some great people posting here on MR. I can't name all of them either but to mention a few:

Renegade79 ~ Cindi - my partner in crime and video/picture goddess  ........who twisted my arm and started me off on seeing live shows again.......who by now doesn't even need to finish the question and I'm like "yep, I'm there!"  You rock!

Dean & Lu ~ great people. Love him or hate him, disagree (more times than not  ) or agree, he throws down exactly what he's thinking....and I can respect that. Brazen/aggressive, sure.....but don't let him fool ya, talks big, but he's got a big heart behind it all. The first time I met Lu & Dean, was at my first JSS show at Lofflers a couple years ago and she was only a month pregnant and pounding back waters  both very excited about the news. They are both a hoot, they balance each other, it's cute. Have seen them a few times, but have yet to meet adorable lil Wy-man, last couple trips timing has sucked.

CrazyDeb, Linda (Fu), Gayle, Jen, Melly, Lynn.......my fun and crazy chicas. God bless ya all. Especially my crazy soulsistah Deb.....neither one of us drinks much......but I swear we always end up having 10 times more fun sober than most people drunk. High on life we is.

Cyndy and Lora - class acts and very down to earth gals, big music fans like the rest of us......oh, and with stellar taste in vocalists I might add! LOL, they've seen this crazy Canuck through at least 3 "very exciting experiences".

Maria, Rockerchic Debbie, Mindy, etc. CT was a blast with you gals, too friggin fun! It was unreal to see 2 of my faves on the same stage again, let alone get pics with both......Maria, you and Kip rock as photogs. And I still get a giggle every time I see your sig and think of that conversation with EM.

Saint John - responsible for the biggest blister I've probably ever had on my foot, in Southbend. Don't ever listen to Dan's directions when he's been drinking. LOL, wasn't wearing proper walking sandels and like 16 blocks later...... I thought he was going to be a nasty bugger by his posting style.........but just a big ole teddy bear full of hugs.  Changed his tune on Canada pretty quick too, with me and Moonbeam standing in front of him.

And two that struck me as very standup guys after first meeting them is Stu and Behshad for some reason. And Rick, I just know you'd fall into this category too. B, you're an absolute sweetie in person. I have to laugh when I think of you with all your ladies walking the streets of Southbend.  So many that I only met briefly in Southbend (and Cali) and would love to have gotten to know a little better....like Rhi, Moonbeam, Kate, Laura, Michelle, Shadow, Gbot, TripleS, etc. And of course Andrew.

So many posters that would be cool to meet.......BJG, MG, 78, Ripster, Journey28, DavePC, Uno Up, LOL even Tito, A4P, S2M, Ari, Maui Tom, Wixy, Nora, Enigma, Brywool, Blueskies, SW2, etc......oh heck way too many great people here to name. And have to say when it comes to fans, JSS collects the best......some of the nicest people you'll ever meet post in JSS forum downstairs. Indyjoe you're an absolute doll, Treetop, Kim's, Robin, Shadow, Suzanne, Pam, Sara, Mistie, etc.

Could go on and on here.......ya ya I know, sorry, Kum-ba-yah.......

Awe, thanks Travis, and the same goes to you!! I agree with everything you just said :)

Ditto!

Oh and Travis, I get to see our (LOL!) crush Nancy up close in March at the HOB here

You laughed so hard in Pompano Beach, at the Denny's when I farted on that poor waiter who was on his knees cleaning the bar back. He looked up and started coughing and gagging. :D Norm was hammered and wearing sunglasses like Neal, and I farted on him too, remember that? He didn't care..he busted up until he smelled it! Fried eggs, about 3 gallons of hard booze and polish sausage. But you laughing only encouraged me, so I wiped that snapper blood booger on the handrail right before that 1000 year old couple limped in, remember? And the old lady put her hand right on it! I thought that was the funniest shit ever,

 Well, look who decided to pop in every 5 months   You're going to have to think of me when you're up close in March (month of my bday too!)

I'll say it forever that Nancy put on the sexiest performance I've ever seen. It was like that part in Waynes world, and I was Wayne watching her sing with the glow around her and the Aerosmith song playing behind her. I was lost haha.

LOL! That must have been Angela or someone else, because I wasn't in Pompano, L and I made Clearwater and the HOB show here of course, but Pompano was on the same day as my mother's 1 year memorial thing my family had. Geesh that was almost 2 years ago now.

I did however laugh practically non-stop at the other 2. What I remember being the funniest was you wiping snot on the handrails of that condo place of Granny and Norm's when everybody was leaving, AND the elevator doors  . Oh and also I think my laughter is what got that lady at the hotel in Clearwater to come out and tell everybody we were being too loud, after you farted in the outside hallway and the sound resonated for what sounded like miles
