Steve...not to get off the subject of your crab-trap or your mullet, but I've got some more possible news for the show. I don't know why I didn't think of him sooner, but who better to play the Journey songs of the night better than the former guitarist of Frontiers?

I called Barry tonight, and I'm going to talk to him about it again tomorrow. I think he's interested in coming, and I'm excited about playing with him again! :D We haven't played anything together in probably over two years now, so it'd be a reunion of sorts. This Jam is getting better and better by the day! I'll keep you posted.

Good news...I talked to Barry today again, and he's definitely in! He'll be playing the Journey stuff and maybe 2 or 3 other songs. We're going to try to pull out some Journey stuff that you guys haven't heard live yet to keep it interesting!

That's possible. At this point, I wouldn't rule anything out. We probably aren't doing any old Journey though...Alex's range isn't quite that high. There is a lot of stuff he can cover, and we'll probably tune down for a few songs too. We'll be throwing in stuff like Loverboy, Def Leppard, Night Ranger Etc... We'll cover several different bands.

This is shaping up to be an awesome trip, seems. Guess I should start looking to book a flight and beg my Dad to let me borrow his car for a weekend... (cheaper than a rental!) :D 8)

Okay. I was thinking of my first time flying and having butterflies in my stomach. Then my first time in a helicopter, I got them again,
and then when I had to jump out of a helicopter, I got more then butterflies in my stomach, it felt like I just swallowed a bunch of Mexican jumping beans.

For those coming to the show...Here's a sample of Alex singing a Def Leppard song. I just wanted you to hear what he sounds like on non-Jim songs!  He's really got a great voice, and I can't wait for you to hear our new songs. :D Here's the song

Just to keep my threads to a minimum...I just posted one of our new songs on Myspace for you to check out (It's All Over). We're not finished with the song, but you can at least hear the basic verion (minus any guitars) tonight. This is the 2nd verse and chorus of the song. I'd like to hear what you think, and there will be other songs posted within the next few days! Also, the lead vocals aren't quite finished, and need some tweaking. I hope you like it!

Wow, that's damn good. I can't wait to hear more of that.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Thanks so much guys (and gals)! I really appreciate it, and I'm glad you liked it. As I said...it's not finished, and we have some stuff to fix with the vocals, as well as add all of the guitar parts. I can't wait until you hear it when it's finished! We also have some other new stuff that'll be up soon.

Maybe it's a dumb-ass idea...I don't know, but it would be funny as hell to see those pictures the day after! Just let me know your thoughts on this...
