I've never known him to be an idiot.

He recently said that he'll seriously consider signing a long term contract with the Cavs this summer. I don't think that he'll leave the Cavs, their one of the best organizations in the NBA since Dan Gilbert bought the team, and LeBron is from just outside of Cleveland having been born and raised in Akron.

By the way...

I never predicted that the Browns would be in the Super Bowl this season. I did say that they would win the AFC North, and that they had a shot at the Super Bowl. But I never guaranteed the Super Bowl or said that it was probable.

On the other hand, Peter King DID predict the Browns would win the Super Bowl this season. And others like Chris Mortensen said that the Browns would make the playoffs, and were at least contenders for the Super Bowl.

2 things worked against the Browns this year. First and foremost they were bombarded by injuries to key players. And secondly, they had the worst head coach in NFL history in Romeo Crennel.

Thank God Crennel is no longer the head coach. Mangenius will turn things around quickly.

They are great this year and sure are fun to watch!!

But I have enough Ohio sports fan experience that I am still holding my breath. Ohio teams are notorious for finding some disastrous way to blow things all to hell!!! But for now I am enjoying the hell out of this season!!!!

My opinion about LeBron is that I don't think he will leave. BUT, if he does leave......I will have enjoyed the years he gave to Cleveland and there will be no hard feelings. It's like this ALL the time in all professional sports. There is no team loyalty anymore. It's all business. Why would he be any different. I've come to accept it. I also don't find him to be an idiot at all. I'm actually pleasantly surprised. When he first came out of high school and there were the incidents with the Hummer and his mother etc......I was worried he was going to go the route of Maurice Clarett. But it appears he must have some good people surrounding him because I find him to be pretty well grounded considering his situation.

But I do believe (or maybe hope??) that he will stick around.

I don't like the way he was handling the media questions about leaving... a simple "We are near the top of the NBA and I'm worried about this year, we'll talk in 2 years" woulda sufficed. But he likes the attention. Come on, you try being that good and that rich and not having an ego. And I do agree, I think he's very well-spoken, especially when you think the guy never had the chance to go to college at all or anything. At least he's not promising Cleveland his entire career if he's not sure. You also gotta remember the sports media is no different from any other media, they have a way of blowing things up.

As for this season, it's great, but there's a long way to go. Last night was definitely a statement, since Mo and Delonte barely showed up and Z wasn't even there. I love our chances of going all the way. With that being said, this HAS to be the year to both win it and convince LeBron to stay. Can't wait for June.

The Magic are establishing themselves as one of the premier teams and hardly anyone seemed to be taking notice until the last week or so. Like LeBron's Cavs up til this season though, you guys seem to be lacking the depth that is typically required to go all the way.

Just a few minutes ago one of the Cleveland radio shows was just interviewing Barry, and Barry was saying that people are taking what he said out of context. He went on to say that James is clearly the best player in all of Basketball right now, and that if he fixes these few minor flaws he'll go down as the greatest ever. He said that these few minor "flaws" are extremely fixable, and that James will get those fixed very soon.

On a separate note: I recently read an article about some math genius who also happens to be a huge Basketball fan that came up with some math equation to determine which players have had the greatest single seasons of any players in NBA history. It's considered to be so accurate that the NBA even recognize his equation as being accurate and use it themselves. That equation has determined that LeBron James is currently having the greatest single season in NBA history. Of course, the season isn't over, so that could change.

He has definitely improved his game this year. Free throw shooting and defense (especially defense) are greatly improved.

That is fucking laughable. Jordan had seasons that he averaged over 35 points and shot 53%. In fact, Jordan had a run of like 5 straight seasons of shooting over 50%. James has yet to do it once. Oscar Robertson averaged a triple double for an entire season. And to top the list, Wilt Camberlain averaged over 50 points and 25 rebounds a game in a single season. And that was with fewer teams in the league and much more parity than this watered down shit. And I don't give a fuck if he was the tallest guy in the league...that's not his fault!!! No one will ever rival Wilt's single season records. This guy's "formula" is about as accurate as a Roy Orbison tee shot.

Keep in mind that I'm not the one saying it. But this guys math equation is recognized by the NBA as being accurate and they use it themselves. I wish I had kept the article.

As of right now Jordan does have what the guy determined to be the single greatest season, it's just that James is on pace to beat it. But like I said, that could change by seasons end. The guy also pointed out that because pro Basketball didn't officially recognize certain stats years ago that that is why he couldn't include Chamberlain in his rankings, but that if he could that then Chamberlain might be #1 on the list.

I do agree that the NBA (and all of the professional sports leagues) do always want to hype-up their current stars.

From what I recall part of this guys equation, which he came up with about ten years ago I think, has to do with quality minutes. James is actually playing the fewest minutes per game of his career this season. And it also takes into account defense and rebounding, besides all of the offensive stats, and not turning the ball over.
