you know he will disprove all pundits on this one...the heart on this guy is amazing.. any NFL team would love to have his character
his presence... he can end up like ELWAY.. towards the end of his career. I am not a Gator fan...but Tebow is one amazing dude..

That was just an AMAZING moment yesterday when Tebow announced his intention to return!!! I was there and believe me-tears fell! My daughters screamed so loud my ears are still ringing....
Wheteher you like Tebow or not this guy is for real, nothing fake about him and he is a trememndous athlete at any level. And if you dont think he'll be a star in the NFL he'll prove you wrong. I remember when he committed to UF how everyone said his style wouldnt fit in the SEC....what BS. I would love to have a Tim Tebow on my NFL team, just the weapon that he can be at multiple positions......a weapon the NFL has NEVER seen!!!
BTW-Percy Harvin and Brandon Spikes are leaning towards coming back also...but whether they do or not we got TIM and a preseason #1 ranking already!!! And it will be great to play the BCS title game next year in the Rose Bowl against USC and finally end that debate once and for all.

Congratulations, SG. I know how cool that must have been for you. I was really on the fence regarding whether he would come back. I would have understood if he didn't. What a guy, though, back he is. :D

In some ways, all the pressure's off for him having done it twice. But, it still seems like there'll be a lot of pressure next season. At best, you can break even coming back. At any other level, you only go down, even if you get to the BCS bowl and lose... That would be tough to come back and have that happen.

Well said Tom. At the next level(NFL), there's a helluva lot more required than heart to excel. I say Tebow would be a much better fit up in the CFL, running all that shotgun shit, inside handoffs and QB draws. That shit Florida runs is nowhere near what NFL teams do. Even Steve Young, John Elway and Fran Tarkenton never ran that circus shit Florida does, even though they had great legs. Add to that Tebow's lack of arm strength and he out as NFL QB. He can't throw that 25 yd out with enough force. He will be picked more than cotton from a Carolina field.

You disagree 100%? You are saying that a NFL team can line up Timmy in the shotgun, and he can just sit there, flutter his feet a few times, and dive into the line of scrimmage for a few yards and that will work? Ok Tim, no you aren't myopic at all.

yeah I disagree 100%. I believe there is at least 4 positions Tebow can play in the NFL and if a team would hybrid him as a QB-TB-FB-TE he could be the difference in a GREAT team.

No wonder Tebow is coming back. Get a load of this heavy schedule they get to play next season. Urban sure is challenging his team I tell ya.

Charleston Southern
Troy
Tennessee
@ UK
@ LSU
Arkansas
@ Miss St
Georgia
Vandy
@ S Carolina
Florida Int'l
FSU

Impressive. 8 home gams and only 4 on the road. Powerhouses Troy, Charleston Southern and Florida Int'l come calling to Gainesville. This ought to get the voters all excited.

3 difficult games. I am floored by this schedule.

We already know it will be a UF vs USC BCS Game next year. And next year the game will be at The Rose Bowl.

USC's schedule is a bit more tough.

Sept. 5 San Jose State
Sept. 12 at Ohio State
Sept. 19 at Washington
Sept. 26 Washington State
Oct. 3 at California
Oct. 10 Arizona
Oct. 17 at Notre Dame
Oct. 24 Oregon State
Oct. 31 at Oregon
Nov. 7 at Arizona State
Nov. 14 Stanford
Nov. 28 UCLA

6 bowl teams right there. Gator boy, look at SC's OOC schedule. AT OSU and ND. A touch better than say, Troy, and Charleston Community College.

How do you know only 3 difficult games? You dont know how much better these teams will be in 09. I agree its a cupcake OOS except for FSU but as Ive stated in the past the SEC schedule alone is harder than most teams entire schedule. Charleston Southern-cupcake. Troy-a Bowl team, better than you think. UK-a Bowl team and a good team. LSU-they speak for themselves and I promise you they will be 200x better in 09. Arkansas-SEC team that will only get better with Bobby Petrino. Miss.State-SEC. Georgia-huge rivalry and could go either way. Vandy-another SEC Bowl team. Sotuh Carolina-Bowl team again and will play better in 2009. FIU-cupcake. FSU-total rivalry game could go either way.
Im not embarassed by this schedule at all. Playing in the SEC is hard enough.

And tell me exactly how 8 home and four on the road is manly? I can see Charleston at home as well as Fla Intl, because they have small schools, but why not play FSU away? Hell, why not just schedule all your games at home? Complete bullshit.

Our SEC schedule revolves each year-we play home and away with each school in the conference and FSU. In 2009 it just happens to fall that way. In 2010 we'll have more road games. But dont worry-when we meet USC in the Rose Bowl it will be a mostly road impartial crowd...but we'll just take care of business as usual and it wont matter.

Instead of Charleston High School and Troy, let alone Fla Intl, why not play Alabama, Auburn or maybe Ole Miss ? Didn't think so. You play a pansy schedule and it's all bullshit and you know it.

You still can't explain the 8H vs 4A.

Just like every other SEC team Florida is required to play 4 non-conference schools. We do play Alabama, Auburn and Ole Miss-they are totated. We had to select one West team to make part of the schedule permanently and we picked LSU which I think was the "Man UP" thing to do. No one else wants to play them every season. We just finished a home and away series with Ole Miss, before that was Auburn and then Bama. This season is Miss States turn in the rotation. Starkville this year and Gainesville next. Then back to Bama. And dont forget Arkansas-they are in the West rotation also...

LOL, the SEC, the so called "best Conference" in NCAA football, "Must play 4 OOC teams." That is truly political and laughable. It's actually smart to do that, but it is definitely a pussy move. Why not come out west and play a PAC 10 team or even Utah or Boise?

No other way to get more undeserving teams into bowl games is there, than this 4 OOC BS?

Auburn did play USC a couple years ago and Tennessee played Cal the last 2 years. I would love to see Florida add USC or Utah. I promise you the Utes wouldnt be undefeated with that juggernaut on their schedule.

That is just YOUR opinion becuae noone else in the country felt that way. If so then why did Florida finish #1 on ALL polls??? USC couldve jumped on the AP...just not good enough.

Two things.

1- The Rose prediction is never ever going to happen. Cal and Minny will never play a Rose Bowl together.

2- Since you have already penciled in UF as next years champ, do we still have to have countless threads on them? Seriously dude, your incessant posting about all Florida Gators is nauseating. Maybe I can get everyone to ignore you, except your MR ho's. You can count on at least three stupid bitches to follow you around.
