evolution has always been my personal favorite besides escape so i'll say evolution because there doesn't ever seem to be anything besides LTS ever played from it.imagine arnel trying to tackle sweet and simple or do you recall......

Play a really small venue and perform Dream after Dream. That would be killer.

435? You are just a little bit short there. Add a hundred and get back to me in the morning.

i dont think they will do an evening w/journey type show again
but a nice comprimise would be to maybe pull 3\4 deep album cuts and do a mini set from the different lps
one night play where were you/line of fire/anyway all in a row
then do infinity the next.

This is very popular in tribute world right now.

We discussed doing this very thing, a recreation of Escape or Frontiers record, then come out and do a 10 song "encore" set of GH. It just isn't possible with this kind of material though. I don't believe Arnel could accurately reproduce the marathon of "Keep on runnin'" "Escape" "Lay It Down" and "Mother Father," followed by another 50 minute set of greatest hits night after night, tour after tour. This may not be a popular sentiment, but I don't believe Steve Perry could have gotten through that scenario in 1981.

Frontiers would be possible, though you would lose most of the audience (albeit not the MR.com posters) the latter 30 minutes of the record. No other record would hold an audience's interest through the whole concert.

So if we're abandoning reality for a second and saying such an idea would be possible, then the only record I think would work would be "Escape."

Now, one situation I KNOW would be do-able, that the band would probably love, would be recreating Journey's Greatest Hits. That concert would definitely be feasible!

I wouldn't mind seeing Journey try and do this, but stick to your guns in Frontiers Jeremey. I loved your show because I got to hear so many songs I've never [and likely never will] hear Journey play. Can't wait to see you guys do it again in February at House of Blues!

As for having balls, well, frankly, it's unfair to compare Journey to Bruce. There's just something about the fanbase of certain bands that will eat this shit up and unforunately, hardcores like us aside, I don't see it flying with Journey's concert base at large. I do enjoy it when certain acts do this though.

I got to see Todd Rundgren perform his entire new album "Arena" before it was even released back in June and it was incredible. He started off with four or five of his well-known songs to lube us up then just started hitting us with (great) songs we'd never heard. Closed the show on two known encores and you have a happy audience. But again, it's a different kind of fan coming out to see the likes of Rundgren.

LOL, dude, you are a mystery. I can't figure out if you are all shtick or really from Deliverance. Do you really live in a log cabin in the Appalachian Mountains? Or maybe in the river of Harpers Ferry? I want to write a book on you.

Thats weird .I do live in a Log Cabin in the woods.{not for long} I go camping in the Appalachians 4 times a year and would live there if i could live on roadkill and berries. and I lived 10 minutes from Harpers Ferry for 6 years. {just went there 3 weeks ago} I even have a fuckin banjo in my closet

Definitely true.Escape has hits throughout different points in the album where you wouldn't really lose the audience interest and attention. All the other albums like you said might be fine for the MR.com posters but for the casual fan they would get restless pretty quickly.

What gives you the right to judge me and "other men" on this board? Fortunately most women on this board arent as judgemental as you and are fun to kid around with.I left you alone as requested ,yet you feel the need to insult me. You must not be getting your needs met {if ya know what i mean} and need some attention from me,thats okay dont be ashamed of it.We all need a little lovin sometimes.Just cause you loath me ,dosent mean everyone else does. You should get hammered once in awhile, loosin up, you might be a happier person Yeah I responded

I'm beyond tired of reading your crap on here, and thats ALL you write is pure CRAP! Sorry dude, but thats my opinion and I stated it. Your revolting in the things you post non stop and believe me not EVERYONE is amused by you! Makes me wonder about the ones who are amused by you. Yeah, I'm just as judgemental as everyone else is but unlike most I don't kiss up to people and feed them a line of bull just to get along...I say what I think. If I was really uptight I would get nothing else done but call every post and person on here on the bull that gets spewed so much, but it's too much so I don't...but I'm calling you out because you were out of line with me after I tried to be civil to you for a while..and then you weren't man enough to apologize for it. I gave you a chance but you didn't do the right thing and I'm sick of reading your gross posts so yeah, I'm calling you on it again...don't like it? Tough! I'll say whatever I want just like you do...if you don't like it thats just too dang bad because if you can say what you want to whomever you want then so can I.

My "needs" are none of your damn business and just because I find you revolting does not mean they are not being met. You're the one that needs to go get some needs met since you're on here all the time talking trash and spend your days and nights in the gutter lonely guy! I'm not in the least bit lonely and I don't have to get on the web and flirt up with strange men and act like a pig unlike some... like you and those that get a kick out of your drivel. I'm a very happy person..I love my life and those in my life and what I do...youre the one that is lonely and get a weird satisfaction over posting filth on a music message board..sorry dude but you are not amusing, just creepy.

Sheesh Phyl what do you have against Carla now? So what if she finds SW2 funny. The sponsor comment was IMO out of line and overkill. She said nothing derogatory to you? :? Granted this is between you and SW2 but this is a public forum and like you, I WILL speak my mind.

Carla is in her twenties and working on her Master's degree I think in Psychology (smart girl), and she's a huge fan of rock music and holds her own on here. I like her. The sponsor comment was out of line, Phyllis.
