Quinn better watch out or he'll be sleeping with the fishes. One phone call to Jon Cain and it's going to be lights out.

I can't believe this dickhead was allowed to pick someone for the seat. Unbelievable mockery of the system.

Hurray!

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Illinois House voted overwhelmingly Friday to impeach Gov. Rod Blagojevich, an unprecedented action that sets up a Senate trial on whether he should be thrown out for allegedly trying to sell President-elect Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat.

Impeachment required just 60 votes. The final result was 114-1.

It took Chicago to put him in and Springfield to take him out.

Springfield voted against Blago both terms. I have no idea what Chicago saw in this fucking psychopath. I'm guessing part of the love affair came from Blago dissing Springfield when he was first elected. He wouldn't even move into the Governor's Mansion is Springfield - he stayed in his Chicago home. That played into the Chicago vs. Springfield rivalry that has been in play for decades. However, it wasn't any different than if Obama wanted to stay in his Chicago home instead of moving into the White House.

Blago is grandstanding on the news right now. He's dragging out a poor crippled guy and some impoverished children to tout all of his supposed successes. What a fucking idiot!

He's gone.

Bye bye Blago!!!

He cannot leave soon enough. What an arrogant %^$#$^%$%

I cannot believe the utter audacity of staying when you know your entire constituency wants you gone. How vain and selfish do you have to be.

And for the record...I know many in Chicago who always thought the guy an ass and who would never consider him worthy of the "true Chicago machine".

HOW THINGS GET DONE IN ILLINOIS

Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the
White House in D.C.; One from Illinois one from Tennessee
and a third from Kentucky. They all go with a White House
official to examine the fence.

The Tennessee contractor takes out a tape measure and does
some measuring, then works some figures with a pencil.
'Well', he says, 'I figure the job will run about $900: $400 for
materials, $400 for my crew and $100 profit for me.'

The Kentucky contractor also does some measuring and
figuring, then says, 'I can do this job for ! ! $700: $300 for
materials, $300 for my crew and $100 profit for me.'

The Illinois contractor doesn't measure or figure, but
leans over to the White House official and whispers, '$2,700.'

The official, incredulous, whispers back, 'You didn't even
measure like the other guys! How did you come up
with such a high figure?'

The Illinois contractor whispers back, '$1000 for me,
$1000 for you, and we hire that guy from Kentucky to fix the fence.'

'Done!' replies the government official.

And that my friends, is how it all works up north in Illinois ! !

That is how is works in Government period. Being fleeced is so common place, that we try and elect the "least" criminal of people to office in the hope it gets better.

We no longer have a government of the people, by the people, for the people. We now have a government of the highest bidder, by the shadiest people, for themselves.

Unfortunately, I think you're 100% spot on. I would be surprised if anywhere near half of all politicians were honest, straightforward, people.
