Thats insulting good lego men everywhere! I agree that most politicians are more into lining their own pockets than doing what is best for the people. The worst thing you can do is have blinders on for any candidate. It amazes me when people hear of an official turned corrupt, and they make every excuse as to how he is misunderstood, framed, etc. Realize these are humans, and many have feet of clay that crumble under pressure.

Blagojeviotch is gone.

It was unanimous. All 59 Illinois Senators voted to impeach him.

Yep. I flip a double bird every time I go under them!

Bye bye Blago. Let's swear the new guy in (and pray they weren't douchebags of a feather flocking together).

If I mail 25 bucks to one of you Chicagoeans, would you take it down to a betting shop for me and put a bet on LT GOv Quin (now gov) getting investigated for coruption within 2 years? Although given the track records of your govenors, Im sure the odds would be so short I wouldnt get much return on the bet.....

What was that about Blago calling for Obama to fire Rahm? Saw a blurb but haven't seen anything else.

I like Obama, but his new sidekick looks a little shifty to me:

He was laying blame all over the place, saying that other governors as well as members of the senate, other officals, etc... have supported the same things and acted on the same things he's acted on (such as the Rx drugs from Canada... and so on), and if we throw him out of office then we have to throw everyone out of office. He included Rahm in his diatribe about how everyone is just as bad as him (as if that's any kind of defense), that's really all. He went to the extreme example of saying Obama should fire Rahm.

Really guys, if you can find a video of Blago's whole speech, its seriously some quality comedy.

Ideology aside, Rahm Emanuel is one of the biggest scumbags in politics. I don't trust that guy one bit.

They're covering them up! I nearly shit when I heard what those things cost...
They talked about this on the news this morning...

Get this... they're covering them up with signs that are simply going to say the name of each toll plaza...
Cost to do this will be about $15,000.

The original cost for all the signs that say "Illinois Open Road Tolling - GOV. ROD BLAGOJEVICH"...

$480,000

...when they could have just spent the 15k in the first place? Nearly half a mil just because that cocksucker needed his big ass name up over every toll road in the state?! Am I missing something here?!
