Exactly my point all along, thank you Andrew.

I'll say it AGAIN, althoughits pointless because it still hasn't gotten through and I doubt it will.... what madsplash refuses to accept or understand is that its not what he says that people have a problem with but its 100% the way he says it and the attitude behind it, coupled with the fact that this is pretty much the only topic we hear from him on. We just don't need to hear it constantly, and as someone else told you the last time this was argued... dude, we get it. Mysterious "sources" and whatever... good god, cry for attention much? Its way beyond gotten old already.

Maybe that's the point , to get everyone in an uproar, then sit back and watch it. Quite a few former board members enjoyed doing that quite a bit. And with IP anonymity programs, who's to say this isn't just another phoenix risen from the ashes to create new flames. I'm not saying that's the case, just adding food for fodder. Anybody can say what is being said here and have a chance of being right 50% of the time (as long as Perry doesn't die before the prediction will supposedly fulfill itself).

No, I'll turn the big 40 in March, thanks. I'm just an excited fan. I was actually the captain of my grade school patrol team!

I'm just a guy who loves SP and Journey. I'll continue to post what I'm told in a respectful, happy, non-threatening, non-personal attacking way. I have some people telling me to shut up about it and many telling me thank you for the info, and are happy to have it. I'm OK with both. Time will tell one way or another. I think we all hope it will.

I'm not trying to stir up anyone or anything. Just posting what I'm told. Everyone can make up their own mind about whether or not they want to believe it.

One thing that bothers me is that some people say I don't post on any other threads other than SP having new music. If you search my posts, you'll find that's not true. I've posted on other topics, granted most are about SP, which is why I'm here. But I don't have time in my day to post on hundreds of topics like some here do. I can't imagine having the time to have 5 or 6 thousand posts. I wish I did.

Anyway, I do read and post on other topics. As much as some? No. But as much as I have time for. When I do have time to read and post on this wonderful forum, I try to keep it focused on my preferred topics. That's not really so crazy, is it?

What's the source of this rumor?
To just say "A little bird told me..." is worth nothing and why post it without a credible source? It just opens the post up to slammage. If the source isn't cited, then I call bullshit.

What are you trying to say? It's not my fault you don't work for the government!  For the record, I hope you're right about Perry. I'd be the first in line to buy any new material. Hell, he could probably just make a cd of him singing the names from a phone book...I'd probably STILL buy it as long as he threw some harmonies in there every once in awhile!

I'm pretty sure myself that Perry might release something in the future. No sources or anything, just playing the odds on mathematical probabilities. I'll put it out there along with my predictions of a having a female president this century, and a major earthquake along the Pacific rim. When any of these things happen, don't worry. I'm not going to say I told you so (even though I did).

there is something to "anxiously awaiting" with this banter back and forth; growing interest, and wandering thoughts about what shall be and what might never be...it's the feast of the beast; it's the honey to the bee; it's the fodder for the hungry...if and when the CD is ever released there will be such a crescendo of sound vibrating throughout the Internet like never heard before or slipping away into the night unheard and unseen as if never considered. good job in instilling interest and creating suspense. i just hope these little tidbits either die or continue to grow til Novemeber 2009 cause you've got people sitting on the edge of their seats waiting for news either to bicker or applause your knack of capturing their attention. it's going to be a long 10 months. i say let him do what it is he is trying to do in peace; cause this is not helping the cause at all; nobody like anybody breathing down their necks as they try to create music. cause in reality; you and these others guys are not doing the man any favors by releasing bits and pieces of things you may or may not know. either an elaborate ruse or a foolish man's thoughts; but let him create as he wishes to create or not without these soundy bytes issued by all these folks.

Not sure what you're referring too, but pretty much any time someone's said "Perry's working on a new album, neener neener neener", I've called bullshit on it. Maybe not in those words, but the sentiment was there. A "Greatest Hits" album has NOTHING to do with Perry and New Music. Greatest Hits albums don't count. Those have everything to do with the record company. Jesus, even the photo on it is from like 12 years ago or something.... Perry's not real involved there. Hope the guy does something, but to come in and just yell movie in a crowded firehouse is pretty dumb.

yeah, kinda hard to hang your hat on 'he said she said to my sister or cousin...."

Maybe so. Lots of people have said he's working. Lots more have said he isn't.
I'll believe it when I hear it. By the way, even though the guy might be doing demos- that in NO WAY dictates that we'll ever hear them.
If Perry was signed to a label- you'd hear about it, believe me. Record companies would be totally talking about it. If Perry wasn't signed to a label, I DOUBT that he'd be working on a new album for anyone other than himself (which people do).

I just don't believe it. We'll see.

Quoth the Wombat:

It was changed because while Steve clearly is working on new material (WONDERFUL), there remains at this time, no deal in place or any plans to release it.

He is clearly working away until he is happy with what he has come up with and that could take any length of time.

Wonderful news indeed, but don't expect a new studio album just yet.

BTW - I swapped some e-mails with certain folks that confirms this.

Perhaps the same information from separate sources.....that's logical.

well, I don't know about that. I don't know the person, but I've seen the approach a lot. I had it on "good authority" from a "very credible source" that Augeri would be back with Journey. I never mentioned it because I didn't believe it, but the guy is a mutual friend and would be in a position to know. He was incorrect.

Rumor has it that, rather than a new album, Steve is really close to completing work on his very own statue, set to be unveiled in front of the Fox Theatre in Hanford, California later this year.

No cousin involved. Just a long time, family trusted friend of my sister, who works in studios in California. Not a stretch.

Yes you would hear about it if he was signed to a label. But you should know that he absolutely doesn't have to be signed to a label to put out a successful record. It can be done other ways now, as we've all seen.

The whole machine is starting move and it's not by accident. Don't forget, we're dealing with a musical and marketing genius.

So could he be doing demo's just for his own fun? Of course. But would he bring a top, world renowned, in demand studio drummer to tinker around on some personal demos? I doubt it, don't you?

And you're right, we will see. One way or the other.

So you don't want to give out the guy's name so he doesn't get fired, but you will gladly say that 2 producers that are working with Perry at his home studio said, blah blah blah. Again, back to the mature name calling. OK. Did you ever stop to think that anything that's out could be purposely put out and not wanted to be "found out" or stopped? Do you know how many small label producers there are in California?

C'mon man, think outside the box. I didn't out anybody. The level of stupidity does grow and grow and your fertilizing it with your arrogant and insulting posts. Think it through, I know you can do it.
Say it with me, "I think I can, I think I can".

Hilarious how some are blinded by the wool in their eyes.

To just say "A little bird told me..." is worth nothing and why post it without a credible source? It just opens the post up to slammage. If the source isn't cited, then I call bullshit.

Search my posts. I've cited sources. Where have you been?

Yep, you sure cited your sources . . .

madsplash wrote:Wow, I didn't mean to aggrivate anyone on my first post! I'm really sorry. The info that I have was told to my sister by her friend of 20+ years, who worked as a sound engineer in 2 studios in the San Fernando Valley. He said that he was told by 2 producers that they have been working with SP on new material in his home studio and in another local studio. He was also told by one of the producers that SP had work done on his voice and sounded better than he had in 25 years.

I'm sure any respectable journalist would absolutely run with a story based on such solid and confirmable sources.

Are you kidding? Most jounalists will put out a story with NO sources, but just based on what they've read on the internet.

My source is what it is. I'm not gonna give you the man's proper name, as he's asked not to be identified, for fear of losing his job for leaking this. He knows that my sister told/tells me everything and that I post and have several people that I have private contact with.

Journalists don't go forward without credible sources! That's the funniest thing I've heard in a long, long time!

You are an idiot. So you think that if this were happening, Perry wouldn't be able to find out who it was based on just the info you have listed above? Are you that stupid? So you don't want to give out the guy's name so he doesn't get fired, but you will gladly say that 2 producers that are working with Perry at his home studio said, blah blah blah. Think about it Einstein..you just outed 2 producers! The level of stupidity just grows and grows....

Uhm. You are the dumb ass that said you didn't want to get someone fired for LEAKING the info...think hard man..sit down, put your hands in your head...and think. 1+1 does not equal 2 for you. That is clear.

Ultimately, I could care less who you out..but don't come on here and be all high and mighty with your information, and then when someone challenges you, change the rules by which we play. If you can't be consistent..then don't be at all.
