Hmmm....SP & Whitney. Great power duo. Could be nice. Which one of them do you think will be the first to get their sh!t together??
Neither.

Sadly, I have to agree.

I hope it is not Streisand. I know Steve took some of the FTLOSM band to one of her shows once. She's done enough duets with other artists, and can you imagine all the 'nose' jokes that would come out of that union?

She was the first person I thought of when this thread started.

That bird from the Motels , I cant remember who the hell she is , but she needs a comeback worse than Steve Perry does. Steves got money left, I bet she dont.

Martha Davis and the Motels just released an album this year. i believe some of the songs were acoustic renditions of some of their older hits.
She has 12 albums released (two solo and the other 10 with the group) and that is not including any Greatest Hits compilations. it looks like she stays busy.

Whoever Steve Perry chooses to do a duet with will reflect the style of music he is working on and
his intended audience. If he duets with Streisand, that is strictly adult contemporary. At least
the fact that he chose not to duet with Reba last year demonstrates he won't likely be jumping on
the country crossover bandwagon with Bon Jovi and Kid Rock.

The only female artist I am aware of that he has specifically mentioned wanting to work with is
Sarah McLachlan. She is currently writing, but not working on an album of her own which means
she is free at the moment... :D What about Mariah Carey? She has a 5 octave range and is riding
high on her career comeback.

Addendum: forget Mariah Carey. At President Obama's inauguration, she actually expected to stand
on the podium and when she found out she had to sit with the other megastar performers she walked out?!
With a deplorable attitude and insane ego like that, I hope she doesn't get to sing with Steve Perry.
Besides, I never liked her version of 'Open Arms' - it sounds whiny.

Linda Ronstadt
The duets she did with Aaron Neville were great and Steve can show his Motown influence.
