Yeah, Street Talk,
a single disc release, went Platinum in only two months from release and was double platinum at last count (as of 1990 anyway). It, by itself, has probably outsold Revelation, Arrival and Generations Combined.

But that's a slanted perspective. The full story is that Street Talk was released during the height of Journey's popularity during the AOR/melodic rock apex, managed by Herbie Herbert, and the charted songs were Journey-esque in sound. If Perry does
that again, I'll be impressed. Until then, I'll chalk more than half of that success up to circumstances.
