Piffle. I couldn't resist pointing that out because it was amusing but in no way do I think it's drivel :) .

Certainly, the change everyone is clamoring for includes a bit more decorum than this juvenille dribble...

juvenile dribble, er drivel... not likely, but rather the truth. fema did not do as fema is supposed to do. broken promises by the bush admin is not anyone's fault other than bush himself. the fed government failed the people of new orleans. spin anyway you choose, but bush and his team really failed this test.

So, you as well think it's appropriate language for the official White House website?

Regardless of whether you agree (obviously you do) or not (I don't - strongly), my question / point is - does it have a place on the Official White House website?

Nagin begged for some kind of word from the government and got nothing. Meanwhile, we're watching these "untouchables" begging for water. Unforgivable.

Just curious, but were the reporter and camera crew covering these scenes you speak of out of water as well?

I was just about to submit the same thought...

I'm not really wanting to even debate any of this though...I'm still waiting on answers as to whether or not the language on the current White House website is appropriate...

#1 The many people who refused to leave, because they believed
it was another false alarm.

#2 The many people who refused to leave because a) they think it's another
false alarm and b) an empty city is perfect for their careers....

#3 The many people who refused to leave because a)they thought it was
a false alarm b) they are scared of the people who like empty cities.

#4 The many people who thought it was another false alarm and are just plain
lazy.

Again, I will say.....the elderly, the disabled, the children and the animals.....they are the innocents!!!

If there is a hurricane tomorrow of that category some things are just out of the reach of man to handle. Blanco and Nagin should have harped for days GET OUT !!!! I believe there is only so many expressway lanes going in and so many out. The nat'l guard should have been called out 5 days before. The Navy ships had to come from Norfolk which is days away and the Navy would never send their ships into a hurricane of that power. If Old faithful ever goes this whole hemisphere is over and nothing anyone can do will change that. Disasters are just that and human politics are don't change reality.

On a lighter note, I loved Michelle's white, flowing dress at the inaugural ball and Obama looked dashing and cool at the same time. They look very in love. 8) They've got it goin' on.
