Don't you feel short changed? Wouldn't par be 15 albums?

Par 15? I don't get that with music. If you put out a good product you will get promotion by the record companies. When time to put another out schedules your next release you usually get a dud & do that 2x and it's over. Quality over quantity rules !

There is a lot of debate about how many of the nine are quality releases.

Debate? I haven't seen it, because what one person doesn't like, another person loves. And it's never for any good reason, perhaps somebody will dislike maybe a song or two?, because he was a stellar vocalist in everything he recorded, how can that be bad when the song writing was always solid, the band was always strong musically. You will be hard pressed to say that about any other artist, in my opinion

In all the time Perry was with Journey - there was not one bad album that the masses or majority of the fans say it just flat out sucked, there just isn't an album (unless you are counting post Perry, then that is another discussion all together).

and Boston in 33 years put out 5. How many albums put out there do not equate quality. I'd rather have one kick ass album, then a pile of shit.

The great thing about Boston, with the exception of Corporate America, is that every album has been absolutely outstanding, and it's much easier to hear all your favorites in concert since they only have 5 albums to build a set list from.

Studio albums
Year Album peak position sales
1976 Boston 3 17× Platinum
1978 Don't Look Back 1 7× Platinum
1986 Third Stage 1 4× Platinum
1994 Walk On 7 Platinum
2002 Corporate America 42
2009[19] TBA - - — —

tom usually comes out with an album on average of every 8 years and your right every one except corporate america are classics albums.

Tom Scholz is reportedly remastering the Greatest Hits album for compact disc and compiling an album of live Boston performances.[11] He has also been working on new Boston studio material, with Michael Sweet of Stryper, and other musicians.

Uhh...

NO WAY IN THIS WORLD is "Walk On" classic or even worth a dime.

It's just embarassing to state otherwise.

Walk On is a good album man. Classic Boston, no, but very listenable.

CA isn't nearly as bad as people say either.

I guess our definitions of what "good" is differ dramatically.

Walk On and CA are crap.

Sorry.
