The people in power will only go with something they deem profitable. You are blessed these days if David Foster promotes you.

Dan Reed Network - Killer Band, Great Vocals, Amazing blend of Rock, and Funk. Like Prince on steroids.

The Producers - Great pop music. Catchy song writing and a drummer to die for.

Saga - Progressive rock with a pop/funk influence. Complex yet accessilbe, amazing arrangements and true musicianship. Exceptional guitarist.

SPYS - Former members of Foriegner, made 2 albums of great music.

Jude Cole - the genius behind Lifehouse - his albums, especially "Start the Car" are near perfect.

Eric Martin Band - In his Life before Mr. Big - Had Journey's management and Loverboy's sound. I would kill to find this on CD.

MR. Big - Moderate sucess stateside, Huge in Japan. A true Superband if there ever was one. If sucess was based on talent these guys would be bizillionaires and Poison would be on food stamps.

Bad English - 'Price of Love' and 'Straight to Your Heart' are classic and I'm surprised I don't hear them on JACK FM

Soul Sirkus - between JSS's vocals and Neal's guitar, this should have taken off

EMB is a great cd, very hard to find......but it does show up on ebay now and then. Get the Japan export if you can find it, it has live versions of most of the songs too......great stuff! Has probably one of my favorite EM songs on it "Don't Stop"......sexy little rock motownish tune. :) LOL, still a baby in EMB - http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=LfPh6ev2kRo

And couldn't agree more on the Mr Big comment. People only going by their couple radio hits are missing out on a lot of gems in their catalogue. With EM's R&B influences and Billy/Paul/Pat's talents there's some great songs on those cds. :) http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=GxHpqYmFR ... re=related

TMG was huge in Japan too, but never toured over in North America. LOL they know great music overseas. :P Great arena rock. Love this one! http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=Oi8s9slbxt0

Absolute yes on that one!

And . . . Coney Hatch. Carl Dixon is a sweetheart (and lucky to be alive - he survived a horrific car crash last year)

I don't know if they have been mentioned yet, but Badfinger.............remember Day after Day, Baby Blue, You won't see me, Come and Get it, and No matter what......... Great tunes! :D Their manager robbed them and left them in debt, it was so bad a member commited suicide..........such a sad story, even McCartney believed in them. :D

Baby Blue by Badfinger always makes me cry, makes me remember a time when Dan and I broke up, and I was so longing to be with him, funny how we are married now, and the sad memory floods back with that song! :D    Beautiful tune............

I knew people that were hugely into them, but I never quite got 'em, just like I never understood the Dave Matthews Band crowd. Maybe King's X is to hard rock as Dave Matthews Band is to whatever the hell it is they do -- Kermit the Frog-sounding jam band crap.

I just scored a copy off of eBay for $18.99 (shipping included). Didn't expect to find it for a decent price, and am looking forward to hearing it. Thanks!

I can't find the other song I love by Tonic, but here's "Mr. Golden Deal" from Lemon Parade, a great album all around. Kind of mellow, but great songs.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bp38HAR5cmY

Now for Alter Bridge. I think one reason some people haven't given them a chance is the Creed connection, and that's too bad because AB is different and has some incredible songs. And some trivia that's been here before, lol, the singer, Myles Kennedy, is the singer that Mark Wahlberg's character pulls out of the audience at the end of the movie Rock Star. Now this stuff is a bit harder than the average J fan here might like, so hold on kiddies, lol, but turned up LOUD in your car when you have a long commute like I do, this shit is awesome:
