Hey Jana, was this during that whole "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" thing?

Even a long time rock fan like you Rick wouldn't have been able to stomach Neil and the Shocking Pinks. They had greased back hair and were wearing retro outfits to boot! It was absolutely horrible and a big disgrace considering the work Neil had come out with up to that point.

Well, to be honest, I probably wouldn't have been there to begin with. He's a great songwriter, but he should leave the singing to someone who's got talent.

He's obviously got a lot of fans, but his voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.

I walked out on Willie Nelson while I was in college; he was drunk/stoned out of his mind ...

He was stoned when I saw him in Lake Tahoe, but he was great.

Then I said, "You're not touring with the Hooters anymore are you?"![]()

I remember contemplating a trip to Sioux Falls for that last May but never made it. Do they usually bring in bands like Loverboy, etc.? If they're able to book a good band I might have to make a trip down for it this year.

You would have had quite the experience, it stormed like a BITCH and they shut it down only to open it up an hour or so later when they had the all clear. Loverboy didn't hit the stage until 10:30, but the show went on. The year before that, it was Kansas and before that Joan Jett, .38 Special etc, so yeah, they get some pretty good bands in there.

When I was in High School, I was a singer (and a terrible one at that) in a band that opened for the Hooters at Stanley's Bar in Wilmington, Delaware. About a year later The Hooters had their one and only hit, "All you zombies".
