OT - My Son Turns 8 Years Old Today...

Postby Tomulator » Tue Jan 27, 2009 6:46 am

For all of you fellow "parents/fathers" out there, you know what an INCREDIBLE moment it is when your child is born!

Absolutely a "defining" moment for me in my life.

Just wanted to take a sec and remember...

"Defining Moment" is the understatement of the century. I always told my wife that NOTHING would EVER top the Red Sox winning The World Series in 2004 for the first time since the world was flat. After my son was born in 2006, the Red Sox moment sort of fell off the radar, completely. Happy birthday to your 8 year old son and may he eat enough cake to drive both of his parents nuts

mine are 4 and 3 years old born exactly a year apart so its fun to look forward and celebrate.last time we went to chuck e. cheese and had fun with 'em.also since they were born on the first of november they have halloween plus birthday all in one day.we just get the cake celebrate their birthday then later on trick or treat that night so they are sugar loaded that day big time.

Happy Birthday to your son, hope he has a great day!

My daughter is 13 and as every year passes it just makes me realize how much older I'm getting.
It seems like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital though.

Tom I have a married 20 year old daughter, and an 18 year old son. The time flies by too fast, make every effort to spend as much time as possible. Happy Birthday to your son!

Happy Birthday to your son! My daughter will be 9 in 2 weeks. 8 has been a really fun year! We're actually surprising Lauren and taking her to Disney World on her birthday. Yes, we're getting her up in the morning and telling her to pack her things because we're going to Disney World! She thinks we're going for spring break!

Very cool plan for your daughter. This reminds me to keep praying that my son doesn't like Disney, because I'm still hoping that Mickey gets a piece of tainted cheese

And they are just as much fun to take in their later teens too. Took my daughter to Disneyland almost 3 years ago and we had a blast! LOL, you're never too old!
