Lovely, isn't it?
:D

Great little candy store down in Charlotte. The man knows me by name now...lol. I call and tell him what I want when I drive down to that area...My fixes are simple...

Cadbury Dairy Milk
Cadbury with Caramel
Cadbury with toffee bits
Cadbury Flakes (that in itself is a piece of heaven)
Aero (plain and with caramel)

Cadbury beats Hershey hands down!

If he can get you a Cadbury "Dipped Flake" you need to try one IMMEDIATELY!
It's a Flake but covered in chocolate.

And it's FABULOUS!!!!!

I live in Pennsylvania, where Hershey is made; but the stuff tastes like dirt to me. Never that fond of the kisses either. I prefer Ghirardelli's chocolate.

If you buy Cadbury from the supermarket here, it's distributed by Hershey. If you want the real stuff, you have to get it from the World Markets, or other shops that import foreign food.

There is Fruit & Nut [almonds & raisins] and Whole Nut [hazelnut.] But that's all, to my knowledge.
Not that I have a Degree from the Cadbury University, you understand.

If buying from an Aussie shop, you should be aware that Australian Cadbury's chocolate is different from British Cadbury's. Cadbury's made in the UK will melt at body temperature; the chocolate made in Australia has a greater proportion of cocoa mass so that it melts at 2 or 3 degrees higher (otherwise for half the year it would be a gooey mess on the shelves.)
It does make a difference - but both are incredibly delicious. And Hershey's is disgusting! 'Chocolate' flavoured hard fat, in my opinion.

I don't really taste a difference but I wasn't thinking about it, so next time I will try to do a taste comparison. Cathay Pacific, which I fly quite a bit, includes Australian branded Cadbury in their goodies bag also.

Hershey's is absolutely vile. The first time I had it, it tasted like vomit. I proclaimed this to my Yankee friends and they couldn't understand it, to them it "tastes like perfectly good chuglet". I guess if you are raised on that crap, you get used to it, but it's only the best most realistic tasting crap for us Brits, and we certainly know about crap food over here!

On the matter of the advert: Can you imagine the thousands of kids they had to audition for that? I wish I were one of them. Childhood fame INSTANTLY...The talk of the playground. :(
