Listen To The Music

Postby Blueskies » Thu Jan 29, 2009 6:29 pm

Too many downer threads lately so how about we get back to some music?!
Any fans of The Doobie Brothers? I love their music.
This is a great simple fun tune just to bring it back to basics to simply enjoy the music...

Any Doobie tunes you fave or have a good memory to then post them. Do you prefer them with or without Micheal McDonald or both? Personally I like both and also like what McDonald has done on his own as well.

My Dad has always been a huge fan - he's seen them in concert several times and I think he's met the band twice. They have some great songs and their live shows are phenomenal. I'm definitely going to try and go see them this year.

I prefer Tom Johnston's tunes, but I think it's great that they all get along so well and still perform together with both lead singers every now and then.

Doobie Brothers is like eating liver and onions for me...

Every eight months, I think, I gotta have some of that. I indulge myself and think that was good, but not so great that I need to have it for another few months.

  I hear ya. I love music of many kinds..I do have some faves but I don't listen to too much of anyone for any length of time or I will get tired of it as well. I mix it up a lot and only listen to a little of an artist at a time and not revisit the same for a while so I don't get tired of hearing it. I used to do the same with Journey too but now I have to say that after being a member of this board over time and going to several concerts..it happened..too much over saturation... so I haven't really listened to very much Journey at all for a while now and probably won't feel like hearing any of the songs again for awhile.

I've never seen them in concert but would like to sometime...I'll have to look up their tour schedule and check out a show if I can. 8)

Geesh! First time I've had a chance to check in since I posted this thread and just checked the link for the song I posted and Warner musical group has taken it off youtube already. I've noticed that they and Universal have really been right on top of things that get put on youtube and that many songs that I've checked out lately are being pulled and say they are unauthorized video. :?
Oh well..heres another to an early performance of the song...maybe it will be allowed to stay on..
