Never heard of her but I'm gonna check into her music. Thanks for linking that.

Her voice reminded me of another one.

You're welcome. She has a sweet voice... She's another "unsung" composer and performer... She has written some very beautiful tunes.

+1

The Dance - Garth Brooks
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2E0-laiA7gI

Probably because I have heard it played so many times during those video montages they put together after a celeb dies.

That one was played at my brother-in-laws funeral, chosen by my ex-husband because he knew his little brother really liked the song. He died tragically in a car accident in his early 30s. Actually had to click it off, still can't listen to it, probably never will be able to. It's a hauntingly beautiful song, but to sad of a memory attached to it.

This one of Perry's was the first one that came to mind....... One More Time http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=BjYyJ8EnHd0

Kind of the same here. When I was in Calgary, a co-woker of mine died (cancer, she was in her 40's). She had just been married shortly before her death - her husband was a wanna-be cowboy singer - very nice guy, kind of resembled Alan Jackson. Their first date was a Garth Brooks concert. Her husband sang The Dance at her funeral - I don't know how he made it through the song because no-one else did - it was truly beautiful but like you, I find it hard to listen to the song now.

This one is my pick

That's a great song. I had the pleasure of hearing him sing it one morning on a local Chicago radio station. Nothing but him and a microphone, and it was awesome. It was several years ago. He hasn't lost anything. It gave me chills.

Not sure if this one was mentioned already...
Less so in the chorus, but the intro/verses/ending especially (eerie vibe)... "Dream Weaver", Gary Wright
