The crowd was into watching the cameras more than the performance. If the rest of the concert sounds like that, I cant say I blame them.

It did sound like he was struggling, but hasn't he always struggled with DSB?

It was not awful Not his best, no, but very good. Consensus here anyway by ten of us. And I loved his outfit. Arnel really looked great. And Neal and Jon looked fantastic.

And there was absolutely no accent. Which believe me I have been critical when I heard his accent being more pronounced in the phils on the songs recently. You're hearing things.

Yeah that's how I felt...not his best but not bad either. He definitely has the front man thing down.

I was just trying to stop the inevitable onslaught...that rumbling of Pineda fans* in the distance isn't as loud as the buffalo stampede of Perry fans on the charge but they are coming Stevew2, they are coming!

*Disclaimer: I do actually like Pineda a lot!

I was thinking nerves, but I'm going to say timing was an issue as well. He tried to hold the one high note so long it turned into a scream at the end.

I'll agree with this. Not awful, not his best. Good exposure for the band. I will say this - since the band had to put DSB at the beginning of the set, I'm sure his voice wasn't all that warmed up. Remember how NWA and Only The Young on the summer tour never sounded the best?

That sounds more like it. Was it on a par perhaps with the performance of Separate Ways on the Ellen show? I really liked that one although I know many felt it fell flat. He kinda sounded like Ted Neeley!
