I watched the SB this morning in Beijing and they televised Journey during the half-time break. Lucky to catch it. The broadcast renewed my interest in Journey, lost it in '97. Gave up on them until now. First time to hear AP. The bro got skills! Smart choice for the lead singer. I wish all of Journey the strength to continue on.

Star of the half time show fumbled and stumbled on stage. I don't think he was very serious about it or age and his routine are not in balance

this is how i watched it in HD and with head phone on to eliminate unwanted noise Arnel sounded great the JBOYS are awesome............Arnel look so handsome on BIG SCREEN.........LOVE AP/JBOYS YOU GUYS ROCK...!!!!!!!!!!!!

HD or not, Arnel still sounded great and their performance is awesome! In fact, they should have been the "Superbowl Half-time Show". Bruce S. performance is not like when he was in his younger days. For someone who speaks English, it's hard to understand what he was saying. He tried to "jump & run around" but not as good as AP does maybe b'cuz he's older, 'bigger', and slower now. This year, the "Pre-game show", next year, Journey will be the "Superbowl Half-time show!!!
Those who have negative remarks are people who are looking for flaws 'coz they still can't accept AP as the New Frontman of Journey.
Wake up people! ARNEL PINEDA is now the "New Frontman of Journey", whether you like it or not!
AP is the NEW PRINCE OF ROCK & ROLL!

Now this is what everyone should be talking about! ....will somebody please post this at MR for those lunatics out there. Thanks, Admin!

Thanks for posting this much much better video. I love Arnel's performance. No matter what the negative people says especially those people at mr,
arnel still rise to the top. I'm sick of those people saying bad things about AP. I know their just jelous because thier beloved SP didn't even make it to the Superbowl.

You have GOT TO BE shitting me?

What a bunch of idiots and assholes.

No more Mr Nice guy to the Pinoy's. Fuck them. They are just so blind, deaf and retarded.

"Jealous because their guy Steve Perry never played a Super Bowl?" Journey played the Beer Garden, not the fucking Super Bowl. The day Arnel can play stadiums is the day he can run smack on Perry. Perry played the Super Bowl many times in a music metaphor.

And those dimwits and their ridiculous Halftime critique. Pineda would have been booed off the fucking stage had he sounded like he did. I am heading over the now. Time to educate these stupid fucks.

Journey play the Super Bowl...LOL I can't stop laughing.

Didn't you say recently that "Hey, they are followers. Nothing wrong with that"

I really wouldn't suggest going to Arnel's site. The love and good vibes there could turn you to a fag

...but hey, if you insist, it's http://arnelpineda.ning.com . Just don't come back posting here in pink font

I remember one year a "disney" half time and then there were half times with different types of entertainments. It doesn't seem like they used to have a one band act like they have in recent years. It seems like since the "wardrobe malfunction" they have tried to fix it with classic rock.

I guess when you have the Frontiers tour with 110 shows to crowds of 90,000 to 100,000 every night who are there to see your group only, not a football game, that must feel like the equivalent of playing the Superbowl 110 times in one year, except you get paid millions of dollar for it.

He recently admitted to being addicted to drugs in the past. Maybe he was bouncing in and out of consciousness due to an overdose? When he rolled his eyes into his head, I thought he was going to pass out.

He looked like he was a deer staring into headlights for sure.

I'm going to have to think the arena dates were multiple shows at the same venues for the most part, like they did in Japan for lack of a bigger place to play in?

Three shows here. Reunion Arena held 17,000 - 17,500.

5 nights here in LA at the Forum. 18K a night, although the last night was a bit short of a sellout.

Yeah, what you said, Hide IP or one of those programs. I don't think Deano could get a full sentence out without the f-word flying and he'd have to register again.

I don't think you can post anything there without registering. The admin will just ban the username so if you want to post again, you'll have to go through the hassle of re-registering. I don't think Admins still bothers with IP addresses anymore as these are easily spoofed.

Let me make the VERY clear. VERY CLEAR. And I will say this just once.

Your post is not appropriate, not appreciated and will not be tolerated.

We are not returning this forum into a place where some elements of the Journey fanbase - past or present - would not feel comfortable posting. ALL are welcome.

I regard it as bad form to comment negatively on comments made on other forums in support of a member of Journey. That official Arnel page is a home for his supporters and they are a freindly community of people who support their guy.
Having those comments of support posted here in this manner is bad enough (Not happy Behshad), but then to have them further maligned only sets up this forum and its users to be viewed negatively.

I worked hard to make this forum a place where all could post freely and happily - including the newest supporters of Journey.

I will NOT stand for another post in this tone. It is both disrespectful to a number of fans and to myself aslso.

I'm Pinoy and I'm happy to translate in exchange for what would be a very amusing discussion between Deano and the ladies at Arnel's site

I bet youd be happy to help,

how does one say the following in tagalog: "you dubmfuck, if you think Journey is better than Bruce, you got more cock in your cocksucking brains than your meatditch ever had."

Yes, You have worked hard to make sure everyone is happy and can post here. But how do these friendly people repay you? by badmouthing your site?
I certainly dont want no war. I also was one of the many who was convinced by Arnels ability to perform live, back in September. I think he is a great singer, but I also think that even the most loyal fans should be able to take a little bit of critisism, positive or negative.
You can not seriously think that people should just say POSITIVE things about Arnel, but they can say anything they want about Perry, Augeri , Soto , Neal, Cain and the rest of the members...... Pineda doesnt deserve a special protection plan against honest opinions, just cause his loyal fans are such friendly people.

If some elements of the fanbase want to bad mouth me for allowing criticism on this forum, then so be it. I'm not going to get hung up on that, those that do post here know you can speak your mind as long as it is done with respect.

I don't think there is any need to bring those comments here to point out these things.

Now....Where did I say that people should only say positive things about Arnel or anyone else for that matter?
If said with RESPECT, then criticism is welcome and tolerated and I was one that also commented about the SuperBwowl performance. It wasn't his best...

Deano's comments were inflamatory and designed to stir up a section of the fanbase, which really has little to do with anything we are currently debating here.
