Few, if any, are going to say that, dude. And here's why...

1) you pissed off most of this board with your attitude.

2) I and many others could have easily said all the very same things you have said, and more, so guess what... "when" you're proven right, we want people to admit that *WE* knew what we were talking about too. Um... oh wait, people won't say that because none of us ever came in here shooting our mouths off about what we "know" or what we "heard".

Get over yourself already. Seriously.

Check out BJG! Yo, tellin' it like it is! MMM HMMM!

Whether Perry does anything or not, the Cindy Brady "I've GOTTA SECRET" stuff is really stupid. Big deal. So the guy will do something new. When I hear it, I'll be happy, but I certainly won't be going "Wow, I sure owe the MR's my life for letting me know what Perry's been doing". Jeez, big deal.

I MAY be wrong, and I don't really want to say anything, but I heard Perry mowed his lawn the other day. I would think that this would be part of his exercise regimen to get himself in shape. I dunno, but I think he's ramping up for something BIG!

NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Well to be fair to the messenger, all he did was post an item that was found, not heard it and posted about it.

"I can't say when or where..."

Dude whatever. Then shut up. most are just sick of this bullshit. Big deal... he allegedly sang. Like with any story, if we don't get any details about it, how are we expected to give a shit about it? If your local news anchor came on and told you something happened, and reeled you in, and then refused to say anything more than "it happened..." wouldn't you turn the station?

Its like the groundhog... Perry allegedly sang something somewhere, so all this means is six more months of madsplash screaming "we'll see".

What a piss poor attitude. Somewhen gives you some info and you start crying "prove it, prove it". He doesn't have to PROVE anything. Take the info and either like it or shove it up your a_ _. You know?

This will all work itself out soon enough and then we'll know who was making things up and who knew what they were talking about. All the negativity is depressing, my God. There have to be many here that live dark, depressing, sad, negative lives. Sad.

Its isn't negativity, I'm just a realistic person. I rely on facts.

And there you go again... "we'll know who was making things up and who knew what they were talking about..." Still haven't fixed that record, I see.

And btw, I'd rather be negative than astonishingly arrogant. Dude, I hope you're right about all that stuff, okay, but I'm not about to fall all over you with praise if you are, which we can all tell is what you want, because you have not said one single thing here about Steve Perry and what he's allegedly doing that I had not ALREADY heard, several times over. What you have done, however, it say those things in such a way and taken such an attitude about it, that most of this board is absolutely sick of it.

(Standing applause for BJG)

+ 1 I just don't get star struck. "I know someone who knows them" is wonderful but doesn't impress me. I know big people too but that's my business. Now I'll be labeled a hateful bitch and well- yes but you don't know me well enough to call me that.

I'm sorry, Bry, but that's not completely accurate. He was about to mow the lawn but never actually got to it. Something about an incident with a Yorkshire terrier, a neiborhood child on a bicycle and a leaf-blower. He might try again with the lawn mower this weekend. We'll see. Unfortunately, someone *did* have a camera phone for this incident, but the picture isn't postable. No one wants to see Steve Perry in black socks and sandals aiming a leaf blower at Yorkie. :?

Thanks for pointing out Denander's post. He is legit and has worked with alot of people Perry knows. He wouldn't post something like that if it didn't happen. As far as not saying where and when it happened, maybe Denander was asked not to broadcast the particulars. People have been wanting to know that Perry is singing somewhere besides his damn shower, so good for him. It's good news for once and from a credible source this time.
Andrew could easily confirm this, for the doubters.

Agreed. As I speculated earlier and was later confirmed for me, this guy was a muscian. It is more credible and well, it probably did happen. It should give folks hope, albeit in baby steps.

Given Perry's rabid fan base (myself included), baby steps can cause a lot of frustration... ;)

Who cares if people doubt? Why is that such a big deal to people? The guy probably is working on something. Jesus, he's got so much talent as a writer that it seems he'd HAVE to do something with it, whether released or not.

I'm not sure why 'doubters' are frowned upon. You can't blame us (them?). We've heard a million times that he was doing something only to never have it materialize. As long as the guy's doing what he wants, who cares? The problem I have is when people begrudge Journey's moving on or any success that they have now is being attributed to a member who refuses to work.

Seriously, the guy could do something or not. He better hurry though, the world's supposed to end in 2012.

Tommy has worked with everyone belive me and spent an evening with Mr.Perry some time back which he confirmed in an interview i did with him for Fireworks magazine,so there is no reason to doubt him.
He's a fan like the rest of us and just probably wanted to share the exciting news.....but yes we would like to know more..over to you Andrew 8)

Oh that's just SP and a few of his friends getting together one Sunday every month and sharing baked potato recipes. They play "pin the beak on the face" and other games like that. Nothing to get too excited over.

what's maddening to me is that anyone who pays any attention to anything from the steveperry camp is certainly being punked. almost every day or every other day something else is leaked; something else to question or fawn or drool over supposedly about the dark knight who no one sees or hears. he's singing but who is he singing to...he's seen but by whose eyes. i think he has everyone exactly where he wants them to be; wondering where he is and who he is with and what he is doing. there are more post on this board about steveperry than about the band he used to be with; journey. he could not pay for better publicity. it's cool if there is absoultely nothing at all to talk about on a winter's day but otherwise it's just people spinning the wheel over and over and over and over and over and over and over until you realize you've been so nicely and completely punked. i'd be mad or insulted or just plain furious that this guy who elicited so much emotion from the audience is now punking you...if he was going to sing; he'd sing and to an audience who would appreciate the music not just in closed session where there are only a few who dare to whisper about it. give me a break. until he can sing and face an audience; then do not believe a word you have heard.

It's a famous old Los Angeles area club known for hosting some big shows... big ticket artists will stop in and play a set or jam while in town.

I'm amazed at the reaction here regarding the possibility that Steve Perry may have opened his mouth and sang a few verses. It's as if Elvis rose from the dead and sang Blue Suede Shoes or something.

When the Perry camp is actually stirring for the first time in years, I think there is probably something to it. I'm not sure what, but I hope it's something good.

Given those that he works or has worked with, he would certainly know of what he speaks. Before you cast stones, I suggest doing a bit of research first.

Big friggin deal. What does 'he's worked with soooo many people.." have anything to do with whether this actually happened? well, although hard to tell at times, this a Journey board...and he is kind of the Elvis of our generation...so I guess the cries of wolf will be heard no matter how hard we shove our fingers in our ears and say "la la la la la, can't hear you..."

The difference IS the source. Again, research... This guy would not simply make this up and post about it publicly just for kicks. He's been around the main site far longer than most of you here to these forums and I know his history/character more than most of yours. I believe him.

Debbie

Good for you. Believe him. I have no reason to doubt him. But I also do have reason and RESEARCH to back up that until I hear it from THE source, I'm not gonna put any weight into an Internet based rumor.

This is not to be taken as a sign of a comeback or plans for one...just nice to see the guy doing what so many of us miss from him....

Here's a thought:

What if this was a kind of an "Industry / Private Session"? Artists can do something like that, right?

If it was, then there could be confidentiality.
